It may not be the lightest (not far off though), but the 360 Degrees Furno Stove would have to be the best value stove on the market.
Three folding arms provide stable support for pots up to 20cm diameter and enable compact stowage in a pack. Its stainless steel and alloy body features a folding heat adjustment knob and provides durable lightweight performance.

jetboil vs furno?1 answer
11,900 Btu this is almost double the amount of gas a minimo jetboil would use, is that correct?
Dazza - Hobart, TAS(5 months ago)
G'day Dazza,
The fuel consumption rate is what we look at for comparing - the BTU is a unit of heat measurement, and as some stoves will be hotter but more efficient, its not reliable to determine consumption rates.
The Jetboil MiniMo uses 100g p/hr, whereas the Furno stove uses 254g p/hr. Despite the lower BTU, it tends to be a more efficient stove due to the Jetboil shroud design & flux ring.
Hope that helps!

gas cannisters1 answer
can you use this in concert with the gasmate butane adapter (https://www.snowys.com.au/butane-cartridge-adaptor) and the associated butane cannisters
Jason Maddern - Adelaide, SA(3 years ago)
G'day Jason,
Yes you can use this adaptor with any hiking stove that has a Lindal valve attachment. The hiking gas canisters designed to go with hiking stoves do have a different fuel blend to the straight Butane cartridges, so bare in mind that you may get varied performance with this set up. Hope that helps.

Stabilizer1 answer
Do I need to use a stabilizer on the largest cannister?
Jess - Northlakes, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Jess,
Stabilisers are super handy to have in your kit, even though there will be times when you don't need it but it's great to have as a fail safe. If you are going to be using larger pots or pans of cooking a lot of food which means your stove will be top heavy, in which case we definitely recommend it.

Pot sizes and fuel mixes1 answer
Will a pot with a base diameter of 8 cm be too small to use on this stove? Also, if I purchase and use the Gasmate Butane Appliance Adaptor that you sell, will this stove be fine to use with any of the different 220g butane canisters that are cheaper and much easier to actually find?
John - Sydney(4 years ago)
Hi John, an 8cm bot is small but will still work fine on this stove as the burner head is roughly 3 cm in diameter.
As for the adapter, this will work, but you'll find that the butane gas alone doesn't perform very well in cold environments, this is where the isobutane/propane mix comes into play. So if you want to use it primarily in summer then you won't have a problem.
I thought the threaded canisters are relatively easy to find though, any camping or hardware store that sells the butane cartridge canisters is also likely to have the threaded isobutane/propane canisters.

Compatible with Trangia Mess tin?1 answer
Hi, do you know if this will work well with the Trangia Mess Food Tin (Large)? The food tin size is 200 mm x 130 mm x 70 mm (280g) and I'm just wondering if it'll stay stable on this stove and it's not too big? thanks.
Min - Sydney(4 years ago)
G'day Min,
Unfortunately, it's hard for us to know as we don't sell the Mess Tin, however purely based on the size you should be able to use the mess tin on top of the furno stove. As to whether you can cook in/on the mess tin would be a question for the retailer you purchased the item from, or Trangia themselves.

Is there an adaptor fitting that fits the stove so that a small primus gas bottle can be used?
Neil - Melbourne(6 years ago)
G'day Neil,
Unfortunately, there's no adaptor available that can connect the 360 Degrees Furno Stove to a different gas bottle.

Flame Stabiliser Issue1 answer
Hey guys, I find this to be a great hiking stove and pot set...just curious to know if you have had any issues with the flame stabiliser / wind break tri-piece falling off the stoves??
I used mine for about a week (9 or 10 times) and the tri-piece broke off.
No real issue, just wondering if it may be a fault or rough batch.
Cheers
Mark
Mark - Inverell (6 years ago)
G'day Mark,
This isn't an issue we've heard of with the 360 Degrees Furno Stoves, no. We're happy to help you pursue a warranty claim if you'd like. Just flick us an email to service@snowys.com.au and we'll take it up for you.

Will this stove run on 100% butane?1 answer
If screw top canisters are refilled with 100% butane, will this stove operate safely?
Brody - Brisbane(7 years ago)
G'day Brody,
To get a safe answer to your question on whether the use of 100% butane is possible, you will need to speak with a gas professional who can advise on your question.
From our experience, we wouldn't recommend refilling gas canisters due to the risks and dangers involved.

Does the burner come with the canister stabilise like it does with the combo set?3 answers
I'd like to purchase the burner with the larger pot set but still want the canister stabilise.
Paul - Gheringhap (8 years ago)
G'day Paul,Â
I've just checked this out for you, and the 360 Degrees Furno Stove does not come with a stabliser included.
It doesn't seem to be available to purchase separately, so as far as I can find you can only get it with the 360 Degrees Furno Stove and Pot Set.Â
Emily - Snowys(8 years ago)
Thanks, ;) noworries just found the JetBoil Fuel Can Stabilizer on your site for $9.50? Should do the trick.
Paul - Gheringhap (8 years ago)
The JetBoil Fuel Can Stabliser sounds like a perfect option to complete your set up Paul!Â

Length of one fill1 answer
how much butane/propane does it hold? Need it to last 5 kids for 3 days
lib - coffs(9 years ago)
The stove itself doesn't hold gas/fuel Lib. It attached to self sealing 100/230 or 450 g isobutane/propane canisters. Burn times is dependent on the conditions in which the stove is being used in, but as a guide a 230 g canister will run for approximately 1 hour.
Ben - Snowys(9 years ago)
where can I buy the cannisters for the stove from? and how much are they?1 answer
Donella - Albany WA(9 years ago)
Most camping and outdoor outlets should have compatible gas canisters Donella, there are generally 3 sizes being 100g, 230g and 450g ranging in price from around $8.00 - $14.00. You will need the threaded canisters which all have a self sealing valve enabling the canister to be removed for storage and transport.

Butane / propane ration1 answer
I've seen earlier that this stove should only be used with an 80% Butane - 20% Propane, canister. What would happen if used with a 75% Iso-Butane - 25% Propane?
Thank you
Jean - MULLUMBIMBY, NSW(9 years ago)
This won't be a problem Jean. You may find that an 80/20 mix is slightly more efficient, but the only difference most people will notice is the extra cost of this fuel ratio. You won't cause any damage to your stove by using a 70/30 or 75/25 fuel mix..
