As the name suggests, the Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is more of a folding bed than a stretcher. With a removable padded foam mattress and integrated headrest, all you need to add to this camp bed is some sheets and a doona, or a good sleeping bag.
Large self-levelling feet are friendly on tent floors and the steel frame offers tons of stability and features height adjustable legs, so you can keep your bed level. Pack up is easy and although a little larger than a regular stretcher, it packs flat for transport and storage.
Companion has even built-in safety mechanisms with a locking feature that keeps the bed from folding whilst in use. The Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is a comfortable bed for camping, sleepovers, guests or at a holiday house.

will this bed be more comfortable than a oztent king goanna stretcher with the exped megamat 10 LXW. I usually lie on my side due to back problems.
G'day Adrian,
This is pretty subjective because we're all different! Whilst the Companion Rhino Premium Camp Bed is pretty nice, I have to say I'd much rather spend the night on the Exped/Oztent combination. I think especially being a side sleeper this will be the more comfortable option.
Are you able to adjust the head height?
G'day Dylan,
Unfortunately, the Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is just that, a bed, and can't be adjusted to use as a seat. It's a good idea though! Whilst the feet on it are adjustable they're really just meant to help you get the bed level on an uneven surface and can't be used to adjust the head height.
I have an Oztent RV2 and looking for 2 stretchers would these fit or can you advise on the best stretcher to suit the RV2. I am definitely looking for something at around 80cm wide
G'day Wayne,
Unfortunately, at 215cm long, the Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is too long to fit inside the Oztent RV2. I've had a good look through all the other options we've got on the market for single stretcher beds and all of the options that are about 80cm wide are far too long to fit inside the tent. Looking at options that might fit in lengthways, they're all far too narrow for what you're looking for I'm sorry to say. At 200 x 200 cm inside, with a significant drop off towards one end, you might find it difficult to find two stretcher beds that will fit inside this tent side by side I'm sorry to say.
also is it equivalent to single bed or wider?
G'day Heather,
The Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is 215cm L x 88cm W so I would say it is designed for tall people. A standard single bed in Australia is about 90cm wide so it will be slightly narrower than that.
They look awesome. But so is price for me. 🤞🼠I’m 66 and my bones would love a. Bit of TLC when camping with the young ones!!! ðŸ™
G'day Aggie,
We try to keep the price of all our products as low as possible at all times. The Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed is already well below the RRP at the moment so it's unlikely that we'd be able to make it much cheaper in the near future.
Do legs adjust to normal height of an ordinary bed height? Also do you ever have any of these beds with a larger discount ?
G'day Aggie,
The legs on the Companion Rhino Premium Camping Bed can be adjusted so that the bed sits as high as 47cm off of the ground, which isn't quite as high as you'd normally expect for a bed at home but is certainly higher than a mattress on the floor.
