Hi, I got this mat from Snowys and it’s been great but now has a leak. What do you recommend to repair the hole? And any tips on locating the hole? Many thanks.
G'day Mel,

It should cover everything you need to know!
Does the top cover on the mattress reduce noise with a sleeping bag?
G'day Marius,
The fabric on the Black Wolf 2D Mega Deluxe Mattresses is a soft brushed micro stretch fabric, so it's not a noisy sleeping mat to begin with.
If you are concerned about noise this mat would be a good choice.
Looks like the dimensions will fit, however, I suspect the ends will touch the tent wall (where the floor lining comes up). Will this cause any possible leaking in the tent? It looks that 3 will just fit side by side as per my measurements. Can you confirm? If not, is there a single version of these available (so 2 king singe and 1 single?) Would you recommend a different mat ? (i personally liked the look/feel with slightly more firm foam) and the material looks durable. The other consideration is the Zempire monstamat.
G'day Andrew,
The 2D Mega Deluxe Mat is a little too wide to fit 3 across the widthways, as you'll run into trouble with the frame, in terms of depth from front to back, they'll just fit, however they'll put a little bit of tension on the floor fabric. This should cause any issues with leaking as they aren't high enough to come above the bucket floor. The 2D Super Deluxe mat is a good alternative, they're a little narrower, so will remove the width problem, however they're a tad thinner at 8.8cm, but still nice and comfortable. The Zempire Monstamat is also a good option, as they are a tad narrower, but retain the 10cm thickness.
could you plz double-check if the new./current one has two valves as in the picture or just one?
*Updated 2021*
These mattresses now only come with a single high flow reversible one-way valve.
I am looking to buy for my daughter age 7 and want something which is durable. please suggest
G'day Pramod,
These two mats are very similar, they're both 10cm thick, with a nice soft stretch knit top. The Black Wolf mat is a little wider than the Zempire Monstamat Single. The Black Wolf has a slightly higher denier fabric, so it will likely be a little more durable over time.
Does this mattress have the Velcro side strips for attaching two mats together?
G'day Alicia,
The Black Wolf HexaTherm 2D Megamat Deluxe Single Mattress does not join together, however you couple look at something like the EXPED Universal Mat Coupler Kit which would do the trick for you!
*UPDATE - we've checked our stock and the 2D mattress does have velcro sides so you can join 2 together. The 3D will require the coupler kit to join two together.
Are these mattresses bonded? I've had issues in the past with non bonded self inflating mattresses that 'balloon' up when rolling around.
Ye, they are Emma. The outer fabric is bonded to the foam inside so the sleeping area is nice and flat.
I was considering using this for an upcoming 2 year trip as I've heard nothing but good reviews. however when i went to visually inspect this Item at a local retailer i noticed that the box warned about using this product as 'Permanent Bedding'. Can you let me know why this might be? 2 years is quite permanent..
G'day Ben,
This is a tricky one, manufacturers have started putting warning labels like this on some products, as people are purchasing them and expecting them to last in the same way that a standard bed mattress would last. At the end of a two year trip it is possible that your mat will be completely worn out, Black Wolf don't give a direct indication on how many nights you can sleep on the mat, but being a recreational leisure product they're realistically designed to be slept on for general camping trips, which usually means that you could expect to use it to camp a few times a year, or around one weekend per month. Sleeping on the mattress every night for 2 years would likely be classed as 'Permanent bedding', so you may just have to be prepared to use this mattress for your trip, and that will be its lifetime.
Hi, I purchased the Mega Delux double and 2 Mega Delux singles about a year ago. I now need to get another single for my daughter. What’s the difference between what I have and this as well as the 3D? Thanks!
G'day Jez,
The new HexaTherm 2D Mega Deluxe is very similar to the old Mega Deluxe mat. They have made some changes to the valve system, but all of the other specifications are virtually identical - they are the same thickness, dimensions, and have the same type of foam. The 3D models have slightly different foam in them and are ultra-comfortable and provide extra warmth compared to weight.
