Not all of us have a giant 4X4 to cart our gear around in, which is why Oztrail have come with a smaller, and more boot-friendly shelter option in the form of the Compact Gazebo.

Just because this gazebo is smaller, it doesn’t mean they’ve scrimped on features. The UVtex 2000 treatment on the canopy protects the material from the sun’s rays, while also doubling as a waterproof barrier. The canopy seams are heat taped to protect against leaks and the pre-attached guy ropes will help keep you shelter steady in the wind.

The arms are curved for additional strength, and the legs and struts are heavy duty to add to the overall robustness of the structure. The Compact Gazebo is also fast and easy to set up with two height positions that can easily be adjusted.

The ideal smaller gazebo for market stalls, picnics, outings, barbeques, or sporting events – the Oztrail Compact Design delivers protection from the elements without a compromise on features.

  • Easy to set up
  • UVTex treated fabric
  • Waterproof canopy
  • Two height positions: 180cm and 190cm clearance (from ground to lowest point of scissor action struts)
  • Curved scissor arms for added strength
  • Pre-attached guy ropes
  • Sturdy pegs and carry bag included

1.8 x 1.8 Gazebo

The gazebo was a little difficult to set up initially, but with a little perseverance got it up and it does the job we bought it for perfectly

Compact Gazebo

I bought this gazebo as I was told that I could erect myself, but absolutely no way can I do so.
I can put up my extra large gazebo on my own, but go to half its size and no go, it will not stretch out so no way can I get it up.
Whats the point, total waste of money for me.
This was suppose to be my cover when travelling around as it would fit into my car boot..
Very disappointing, just glad I tried before left on trip, but unfortunately have left too long to return.

Sorry you are having problems with your Gazebo Denise, we'd be interested to know about the difficulties you are experiencing. Although easier with two people, most gazebos can be erected by an individual with a little perseverance. The first time they are set up is usually the hardest, so I recommend getting someone to help set it up before your trip. Leave it set up for a day and then give it another go by yourself. Don't hesitate to call us if you have any further concerns. ~ Ben

Oztrail compact gazebo

Great size for me, can assemble it on my own if I have to. This is my third one.

Compact Gazebo

The metal pins don't pop out and therefore the gazebo can't go up to full height - this problem occurred on the 2nd use making it useless. We have been using gazebos almost every weekend for years at dog shows, This one became useless within 2 weeks. Very disappointing and frustrating.

G'day Sue, that would've been such a let-down! We're sorry that your gazebo is having some issues. I must say that we love the Oztrail gazebo range - based on their durability, though the pin not locking is a problem we've come across once or twice before. Would it be possible to give us a call on 1300 914 007, we'd like to do everything we can to fix the problem. Hopefully talk to you soon!

Lightweight and portable gazebo

The good:
Lightweight (easily lifted by one person )
Portable (the bag has wheels which make it easy to transport)
Large (big enough for 2 people and 2 dogs)

The not so good, but not bad either:
Requires at least two people to set up
It's a bit stiff to set up at the moment. I expect it will become easier the more we use it.

oztrail compact gazebo

Good quality materials particularly the zipper of the cover hasnt broken first time I used it as another did.
The frame is too hard to set up by myself unlike other gazebos. seems too stiff, had to get other people tp help. This i a real disadvantage.

Compact V Deluxe1 answers

Hi What is the difference between the compact and the deluxe in the 2.4m. I have had a green one and would like to be sure the blue one comes with a wheeled bag and is the same size packed.

G'day Victoria,

I've just checked for you, and the Deluxe Compact Gazebo from Ozrail has a thicker canopy, a more reinforced frame, and packs up a little bigger than the Compact Gazebo - so basically the Compact Gazebo is a more lightweight version.

The Deluxe Compact Gazebo is 135L x 27W x 22H cm packed, while the Compact Gazebo is 97L x 20W x 26H cm, and both gazebo models come with their own wheeled carry bags.

Hi, The 'Compact Gazebo' is available only in Green. It is the more robust 'Deluxe Compact Gazebo' that is available in Blue. Hope this helps in your decision making.

Can I get these in blue?1 answers

Happy to order and wait if necessary

- TORRENS PARK, SA(1 year ago)
The Compact Gazebo only comes in Green Leigh. To get blue you would need to purchase the Compact DELUXE Gazebo, these have a sturdier frame but do come at a slightly higher price. Search for product code 36655 to see these on our website.
