Half good

I have used them at three day markets. I filled them with water and on the third market one of them started leaking from a hole where the screw goes in.
I like the idea to use water that I can pour out after the day, but I might invest in some sandbags instead as it is less bulky and won't start leaking :)

Response from Snowys Feb 22 2016

Hey Lene, Oh no, that's no good! The best way to fill these pods is by using water - saves any heavy lifting. We're sorry that one of your pods has sprung a leak, please give us a call (1300 914 007), we'd like to do everything we can to fix the problem.

Do the pods also fit the Coleman gazebo, I have been waiting for the oztrail gazebo since Feb, but they are now not available until September 1 answer

Will these pods fit the Coleman deluxe gazebo ?

- Edwardstown(6 months ago)

G'day Heather,

Unfortunately, the Coleman Gazebos have a slightly different shaped pole which means that they don't fit within the Oztrail Base Pods.

Guy ropes1 answer

Hi. Would these pods eliminate the use of the guy ropes or are they still required? Thanks

- Seaford Meadows (9 months ago)

G'day Kimberley,

If you're on soft ground and able to guy your gazebo out then we would always recommend that you do so. But if you're on hard ground, then the Base Pod Kit is an alternative to guy ropes.

How much when filled with water1 answer

Hi what is the weight of each pod when filled with water as many markets have a regulation on weight per leg.

- Rouse Hill(9 months ago)

G'day David,

I've just checked with Oztrail, and each pod in the kit will weigh approximately 8kg filled with water, 11.5kg filled with sand.

Can these also be used to secure beach umbrellas? 1 answer

- Toorak Gardens(1 year ago)
I guess you could Anna, as long as the umbrella fits into the pod (about 4-5 cm diameter). Gazebo legs have a foot on the bottom which stops the leg form pulling through the Base Pod, an umbrella won't have this so there is nothing stopping the wind from pulling the umbrella up and out, this is probably the main consideration.

How do you get the walls to fit through or around the pod.1 answer

I have a Oztrail deluxe gazebo with three walls.

- ENCOUNTER BAY, SA(3 years ago)
Good question Jennifer. The only way we can see the base pods working with side walls is to either raise the height of the gazebo so the walls sit above the pods, or leave the bottom of the walls un-attached to they drape over the top of them. A better solution for this would be the Oztrail Sand Bag kits.
