I know it comes with two plates but will I be able to fit full size griddle? Like hyperflame or eventemp3? Can you be able to suggest one?
Hi, i am trying to buy a bag for this - can you explain external vs packed dimensions so I can ge the right sized bag?
G'day Brendan,
You will want to work with the packed dimensions, this is the measurement when everything is packed up 56L x 34W x 9H cm.
The external dimensions refer to when the stove is opened up and in use. The griddle plates are stored separately in their own carry bag.
The Blacksmith Stove Bag and the Hyperflame Bag are both stove bags that will fit the Cascade 3-in-1.
Can you use this on a normal gas bottle, such as attached to a standard BBQ?
G'day Jenni,
You can, but the rigid regulator arm will need to stay.
Depending on if you are looking for a 3/8th BSP gas bottle, or a LCC27 gas bottle, you can get a hose that connects the stove regulator to your gas cylinder.
Do you already have a BBQ gas bottle you'd like to use, and if so, do you know what connection it has?
Hi, Are there any carrying bag that can be purchase that could fit this? Thanks
G'day Norvin,
If you're keen on an Australian Made option, the Blacksmith Stove Bag is a great choice, otherwise the Hyperflame Bag is a good fit.
Can you connect it to a bayonet lpg outlet on a caravan (which is already a regulated gas supply qpressure)
G'day T-Bone,
Unfortunately not. All Coleman stoves can only be used with their Coleman specific regulator arm which supplies gas at a different rate to regulated bayonet systems, that means it can't be swapped out in place of another regulated supply.
Hi, Do the grills/hotplates need to be seasoned like a cast iron skillet or oven?
G'day Duncan,
The cast iron hotplates do come 'pre-seasoned' but we recommend giving them a thorough wash & re-season before first use.
Alot of cast iron products come like this with a protective coating from the manufacturer to keep it in good condition before it reaches the end user. We're not 100% sure what kind of oil or product they use, and we're also not sure about the seasoning process.
Especially with cooking gear, its better to be safe than sorry!
Can we use the large gas bottle on this type of cooker or just the small cans?
G'day BB,
With an extra hose, you can connect this to a larger gas bottle! You will need the Companion POL to BOM High Pressure Gas Hose 150cm for the older style bottles with POL fitting or if you have a new bottle with an LCC27 fitting, you can use the Coleman
BOM/UNEF to LCC27 High Pressure Gas Hose. You will connect one end to the regulator arm that comes with the stove then the other end to your larger gas bottle.
