Hi wondering if this set would stack nicely into a trangia 25 stove set? and if it all the pots and kettle will sit well on the trangia stove top? Thanks!!
G'day June,
The Trangia 25 set and the Furno Large Cookset won't nest together, as both of them are already full with other stuff.
Generally, when they're both all packed up they'll be about the same size, with the Trangia being a tiny bit flatter/shorter.
You can easily cook with the Furno pots on the Trangia if required.
Can I use this on our gas stove in the caravan or do I need to buy the furno stove as well?
G'day Mel,
The Furno Cook Sets can be used on any gas or electric stove, as long as the flame/heat source doesn't exceed beyond the base diameter, so you should be fine if you've got a small burner option in your caravan.
Just wondering whether the kettle in this has a whistle?
G'day Sarah,
The Kettle in this set doesn't have a whistle, but it has a fairly narrow pouring spot, so the steam will be fairly obvious when it's boiling.
Can I use them in the bbq?
G'day Shelby,
In our experience, the aluminium these pots are made of is quite thin and our thoughts are that it could be prone to buckling. Cast iron is a better option for cooking over the heat of a bbq.
Have a jetboil. Was wondering if this brand will work on jetboil
G'day Bec,
Yes, you can use the Furno Large Cook Set on a jetboil, you'll just need to make sure you use the Jetboil Pot Support.
Will these get blackened on a shelite stove?
G'day Scott,
If you're using these on a shellite stove you shouldn't get blackened patches on them as shellite burns pretty cleanly. If you're experiencing blackening of pots on your dual fuel stove, it's possible you've got some residue from ULP in the unit.
Will these fit packed away in the Campfire 4.5 camp oven with the lid on?
G'day Sam,
Unfortunately the 360 Degrees Furno Large Cook Set & Kettle is too big to fit inside a 4.5Qt Camp oven.
If it was about 1" shorter you'd be right!
Are these rated to use on a fire not a cooktop?
G'day Megan,
Being a hard anodised aluminium they are lightweight and quite thin, the aluminium can blacken and warp with the higher heat levels, and the plastic coated handles run the risk of melting. All in all, the Furno cooksets are not recommended for use on an open fire or coals.
When using the kettle does it get to hot to hold once the water is boiled? can you use bare hands to hold the handle to pour the water out?
G'day Brent,
The Furno Kettle in the Large Cook Set has a rubberised handle cover so it shouldn't get too hot on a hiking style stove.
We have an old coleman powerhouse duel fuel stove Can the furno cook set be used or is the duel fuel to hot
G'day Dave,
Your stove won't be too hot, in that you won't damage the cookware, but being a thin, lightweight alloy you may find you end up burning food to the base of the pots if you're not keeping a very close eye on it.
Hi Snowys I'm wondering if the 360 Degree Furno cookware is ok to use with the Primus 2 Burner Deluxe stove. Just saw that sometimes the heat on some cookers can be too much. Thanks!
G'day Mike,
You should be fine using these on a Primus Deluxe 2 Burner Stove. I use mine on my Coleman stove and haven't had any issues. The only thing I'd warn you about is the base on these pots is quite thin, unlike cookware you use at home, so you just want to be careful you're not burning the food on the bottom.
does this set fit inside the extra large 360 degree pan set ?
G'day Julie,
I just gave this a try with some stock we have in store. The 360 Degrees Furno Large Cook Set & Kettle did fit inside the XL Pot Set but I did need to take the pot gripper out of the XL Set for the Cook Set & Kettle to fit in properly.
Hey, I am just wondering if I would be able to use all of the pots in the fire as well as on the gas stove? Could you please lost the ones I can use in the fire. Thanks
G'day Hayden,
As this set is made from anodised aluminium, it is going to blacken the exterior if you use it in a campfire and you would also run the risk of melting the handles.
This set is designed to be used on a smaller flame (such as the Furno stove or another hiking stove) so we wouldn't really recommend using it on a fire.
G’day guys I’m just wondering if the large pot set with the kettle sits well on the 360 degrees stove? In particular the largest pot. Thanks Hayden
Hi Hayden,
I've just double checked this for you, and it looks like the Furno X Large Cook Set will fit perfectly with the 360 Degrees Furno Stove without any dramas.
