If you’re a value-chasing hiker that will only settle for the highest quality the MSR Elixir 3 Hiking Tent is the lightweight tent for you. And it’s roomy enough for three, or two and stacks of gear.
The included footprint enables setup with or without the fly or as an ultralight single skin shelter for fast and light adventures. Two large StayDry™ entrances and vestibules with built-in rain gutters team up with a roomy interior that offers true space for two people.
A tent inner comprising of 40D ripstop nylon and 20D nylon micromesh not only provides exceptional ventilation but enables stargazing when the fly is removed on warm nights through a star-shaped mesh ceiling.
Easily pitched with colour coded poles, clips and webbing, the Elixir 3 Hiking Tent offers versatility and space for any adventure in just about any climate.

where is this tent manufactured1 answer
Im doing an assignment on Hiking tents and I was just wondering if I could find out where this particular one is manufactured.
Karsha pereira - Strathmore(6 years ago)
G'day Karsha,
It took me a while to find out but the MSR Elixir 3 Hiking Tent is made in Taiwan.

vs Hubba Hubba?1 answer
Would you say that the hubba hubba is an upgrade to this and why?
Petros - Glen Waverley(6 years ago)
G'day Petros,
I'm not sure I would class it as an upgrade, rather they're simply two different styles of tent. The Hubba range is the top of the MSR Hiking Tent Range, whereas the Elixir is placed in the middle of the range.
The major differences between the two are capacity as the Elixir 3 can fit 3 people whereas the Hubba Hubba can only fit 2. As a result, there is a significant weight difference where the Hubba Hubba is almost 1.5kg lighter.
This weight difference is what makes the Hubba range more appealing overall as the materials used are still as durable and reflective of the high MSR quality, but come with significantly less weight.
