If you like to go off the beaten track when you travel, but you don't fancy getting any water-borne diseases then you might want to invest in a portable water purification system like the Camelback All Clear Purification Bottle.
The UV light takes nearly any clear water source and neutralises any Bacteria, waterborne viruses, and protozoan cysts in it. All you have to do it fill the bottle up, place cap and power on, agitate the water for 60 seconds and the LCD system will confirm that the water is ready to drink.
So, if you’re a risk-taking adventurer who draws the line at dysentery, then maybe you should think about investing in a Camelbak purification system.
Just completed 10days on the Larapinta trail, used both on ground water and tanks, no pumping and no chemicals, easy to recharge with a solar panel.Need to buy the prefilter to make it complete for camping
Great price for such a valuable product. I've only just used this in Australian bush in flowing streams and creeks and has worked a treat. I wish the filter came with it though instead of paying extra for it. Top quality product can't wait to take it on all my adventures.
A really super easy and simple way to purify water. We gave this bottle a hammering during two months in the jungle in Madagascar with all kinds of water treated and no issues. And have sinced used it on all kinds of bush and jungle trips around the world. Everyone else on the Mada project ditched their filters and treatments and relied on the Camelbak All Clear as it was just so much simpler and quicker. They now have their own Camelbaks... Lasts really well on one charge. Thoroughly recommend and at the cheap price Snowy's sell them for you can afford to grab the filter as well to keep the chunky bits out!
I bought this recently for my travels in Nepal. So glad I did! I stayed with locals in a remote area with no shops or access to bottled water. It was so good to have access to "unlimited" drinking water in this way. Battery life was very good, 10 day trip and no need to charge. It is discreet in the sense that I didn't need to be pumping away or filtering water, simply asked them to pour my water into my bottle rather than a glass. Final comment is that the instructions require you to wipe the rim of the bottle after treatment. I found this a bit difficult because I wasn't carrying wipes all the time. My way around this was to run a second treatment with the lid off, and shining the uv around the rim area. Seems to have worked!
Fantastic product from Camelbak that makes water treatment really simple, practical and convenient. The universal wide-mouth fitting allows the cap to fit on many different bottles, the basic LCD display walks you through the process step by step and the longevity of the product is reflected in it's quality and battery life. Recharging the battery is also convenient as it can be done via USB through a lightweight battery pack or solar panel. Brilliant option to consider when looking for a UV Water Treatment option.
Great product and Snowys delivered very fast! :)
Does this come with the spare cap and the carry case for the purifier and the USB cable? IE Does this include: 1 x Camelbak UV Cap 1 x Camelbak 750ml Water Bottle 1 x Camelbak Classic Cap 1 x Camelbak Protective Carrying Case 1 x USB Charging Cable.
The Camelbak All Clear Water Purifier definitely comes with the recharge cable, classic cap, UV cap, protective carrying case and 750ml water bottle.
