Hi, Is this pack in any of the physical stores to try? I'm wondering how wide the back straps are as this is a SL model. Also strapping a hiking tent to the base possible on this pack? Thanks
G'day Gareth,
Thanks for your enquiry. We do have a few Deuter Act Trail Pro 40 Backpacks available in Midnight Ocean at our store in Adelaide at the moment but unfortunately, we've run out of stock in Brisbane. I've double checked with a colleague who is an expert all things hiking packs and she advised the Act Trail Pro 40 you're looking at is not actually an SL fit. We will update the website as quickly as possible. To answer your question- The width of the back strap is 7cm wide. There really isn't any straps on the bottom to strap a tent too. There are 2 small fabric loops that go over the bottom buckles of the pack, you could attach something to them however, I wouldn't put too much weight on them.
