Does this dimmer work with the awning light kit?
G'day Anthony,
Just to clarify, are you talking about the lighting kit built into the Hard Korr 270 Awning, or the 3 Strip Tri−Colour LED Awning Light Kit?
If it's the latter, then yes absolutely. If you're talking about the built in light kit on the 270 Awning, the answer is 'not sure', but one of the crew at Hard Korr are heading out camping the weekend and will test it out.
Hope that helps.
Will this work to turn the XDW Series 20W Square LED Hyperflood Work Light on and off, will it also dim it
G'day Adrian,
Great question, but its a no I'm afraid!
The Wireless Dimmer Switch only works with the LED Light Bars/Strips lighting systems.
Does the unit come with just one remote? Are the remotes only compatible with the one unit they were bought with?
G'day Paddy,
Yes there's just the one remote included with the controller but as for whether the remote is isolated to operating the unit it's boxed with..? Sorry mate, we can't confirm one way or the other. Remotes, in general, operate through a frequency and we know that sometimes with car locking remotes, they can trigger neighbourhood roller doors etc so it's possible the one remote may work with multiple units but Korr don't specify and we haven't tested this one out for ourselves. Cheers
Does this Wireless Dimmer Switch work with the orange/white strip lights?
G'day Petra,
Yes, the Hard Korr Wireless Dimmer Switch works with both the Standard White and the Orange/White dimmers switches. The wireless Switch only has the ability to dim the light on its current colour setting on the latter though, switching between Orange and White lights will have to be done via the usual controller.
Also, probably worth mentioning that this Wireless Controller is not compatible with Hard Korrs newest 3-Colour Lightbar system.
what batteries do you need for the wireless controller?
G'day Max.
I've just double checked the Wireless Dimmer Switch and the unit itself plugs into the chain and runs from 12V. The remote button itself doesn't list the battery it uses and is screwed shut so I can't double check. My guess
Hi guys is the controller box water proof
G'day Max,
I've just double checked and the Wireless Dimmer Switch controller is not waterproof.
The battery used in the remotes is an A27 battery, similar to a AA or AAA battery but much smaller. Source: https://hardkorr.com/au/product/wireless-remote-dimmer-switch/
Thanks for the tip Kevin.
