So many options in a single camping mat, the Roman Tornado Self Inflating Mat Red is thicker than its counterpart but still bears the quick inflation, easy pack away and detachable pillow features the Tornado mats are unique for
The valve is 30 times larger than standard valves, so air is sucked in and squeezed out faster than a speeding ticket, and an Easy Roller and elastic straps make packing the mat away easy.
The self-inflating pillow is attached to the mat using the Easy Roller, and once inverted the stuff sack can be placed over the pillow to create a soft fleece cover to complete a sleep system that will have you sleeping like a bear in hibernation.

What is the R-value of this sleeping pad?
G'day Alan,
Unfortunately, we don't have any official data in relation to the R-Value of the Roman Tornado Self Inflating Mat & Pillow. Being a similarly built mattress with a similar thickness, I'd suggest that it's closest to the Zempire Bomberpad but that also doesn't have an R-Value so it's not overly helpful I'm sorry to say.
Is the mat 160cm on its own plus the pillow, or does that include the pillow too? Cheers
G'day L,Â
I've just looked into this for you L, and it seems that the 160cm doesn't include the pillow on the Tornado mat. Including the pillow, the entire Tornado mat should be 186cm long in total. Â
Is the shell bonded to the foam?
