Hi. Recently purchased this heater and it works well. I would like a bag to store it in. Does anything suit in your range of canvas bags?
G'day Jeff,
We don't have anything in particular but one of our team members has just tried this out and it fits in the Zempire Deluxe & Grill Stove Carry Case without the gas bottle attached.
Can you please let me know what the differences are between this model and the similar Buddy heater?
G'day Romy,
The two units are pretty similar and run on the same type of gas bottle. Physically the companion unit is a little taller and heavier, and functionally the companion unit has a slightly lower overall heat output, and therefore slightly lower gas consumption. Both have great reviews, but the Buddy Heater does appear to be a little more popular.
One thing to remember is the Australian version of the Buddy Heater only has a single heat setting, unlike the International version which has two. The Companion has low/high.
What type of fitting does it have to hook it up to LPG?
G'day Hamish,
If you're looking at connecting your Companion Portable Propane Heater up to a larger gas bottle with a POL fitting, then you'd want to grab one of these hoses. If you've got a smaller gas bottle with the 3/8" fitting, then this is the one you'd need.
Hello, could you please advise which size (Propane) canister is suitable for this appliance? Many thanks in advance. Roy.
G'day Roy,
The Companion Portable Propane Heater uses 453g propane canisters.
is it safe inside of tent or small place?
G'day Sook Hee,
The Companion Portable Propane Heater is an outdoor heater and as such, should only be used outdoors. We encourage you for safety reasons to not use it inside any tent.
Is it safe for a caravan
G'day David,
We recommend against using any portable gas appliance indoors. It should be fine to use outdoors under the awning, however.
