Hi Do you have any extension hoses? And extras like joiners and wall sockets
G'day Steve,
We dont sorry. Its not recommended to extend the hose length due to heat loss.
I'm sure you'd be able to find hose, joiners and wall sockets for tubing of this diameter from a hardware store that could easily be modified to suit.
Hello. Does the Gasmate portable diesel heater run on Alpine/Sub Alpine diesel fuel? This fuel is recommended for diesel motors during Winter in Alpine/Sub Alpine climates such as the Kosciusko National Park, NSW. Normal diesel in a Winter Alpine climate will form wax deposits in fuel lines causing fuel starvation.
G'day Ian,
Can't see any reason why you couldn't run this with Alpine Diesel, its essentially interchangeable in majority of cases.
Your advertisement states that the unit is ideal for tents , campertrailer and caravans, but the product PDF states it must be used outdoors b/c risk of carbon monoxide build up and the exhaust duct , only 1metre long gets very hot, so my question is how would you suggest it be used in a campertrailer?how
G'day John,
The combustion unit must remain outside to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
The ducting can be inserted into a door or window zip if you don't have a dedicated ducting port in your camper.
The ducting does get hot, but it can still be touched, and we've tested it against a range of different synthetic and canvas tent materials with no issues.
I bought one of these from you last year, and I believe giving you an honest review on it, the fuel lines came off inside the heater causing diesel to spill all over the wiring, there is only 1 mm plate of steel that the wires sit on and the heater unit directly under that 1mm plate , the wires get soooo hot and with diesel spilling on it- this is not a safe item and have thrown mine in the bin, buyer be careful
