The Easy Up 2 from Outdoor Connection is so easy to set up, that even Russell Coight could give it a fair go. All you have to do is take it out of its bag, pop it open and peg it out. Simple.
The Easy Up 2 has a cosy interior, a dome-shaped roof, and best of all it has an integrated inner and fly, so it’s the ultimate in easy use tents. Outdoor Connection have really put everything in place to keep this tent waterproof, with a waterhead rating of 2000mm, taped sealed seams to prevent water sneaking in through the stitching, and a 5000mm+ waterhead floor you’ll stay nice and dry from whatever mother nature throws at you.
There’ll be plenty of air flow, and minimal condensation thanks to the vent panel and side windows on the Easy Up 2. This is also a great one for time-poor holidaymakers who can only get away for a day or two, this way you can spend more time adventuring and less time setting up.

So in the video the guy sets out the massive ground sheet larger than the tent and then he doesn’t put the pegs in and neither could he as he would have to put them through the ground sheet. Can you explain how this should work ?
G'day Sue,
People peg through groundsheets all the time if they decide to choose one larger than the footprint of their tent.
Generally, you would just be sure to set up the groundsheet and the tent in the same orientation each time, so you are reusing the same holes.
You can also install eyelets into these holes to protect them longterm.
is this a single layer construction or is it the same set up as the speedy?
G'day Nermin,
The Outdoor Connection Easy Up 2 Pop Up Tent is a single layer construction. The fly and inner tent are integrated, which saves you time and makes it ultra simple to set up.
Could you please tell me if this tent has 2 entrances like the Easy Up 3?
G'day Suse,
The Outdoor Connection Easy Up 2 Pop Up Tent only has the one entrance on it, it's only the Easy Up 3 that has a second entrance.
Hi I considering this tent and the malamoo xtra 3, we do a lot of camping in high wind and rain which of the two do think would stand up better to strong conditions and last longer?
G'day Alison,
To be honest, it's very hard to separate the two - their design and waterhead ratings are very similar. The important thing is to ensure you utilise your guy ropes as the poles are flexipoles, this is where the tent will get its stability in high wind.
The one major difference in regards to your question is that the Outdoor Connection Easy Up 2 comes with a full seam sealed floor which offers a marginally better protection in the rain.
In the description it says that the tent does not need a fly? What does it have in place of a fly?
G’day Paula,
I’m sorry for the confusion there, what the description should read is that you don’t need to pitch a separate fly over the inner tent as the fly and inner on the Easy Up 2 are integrated – which is what saves you time on set up. I’ve updated the description now, so it should hopefully make more sense. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Paula!Â
