The Off-Grid PIumbing by Joolca offers a no-fuss, full-flush solution to an outdoor water system!
Boasting a tough but lightweight stainless steel design with robust ABS plastic componentry, this unit is built for full force in the outdoors – the intake sturdy and secure enough to be tossed into shallows waters and creeks, with its integrated sinker maintaining its submerged state. Self-priming up to just under 2m on a slope, with a 30m reach and a flow-rate of 6 litres per minute – it’s as independent as it is fully automatic via an inline switch on either a shower or faucet, so you can go from scrubbing up post-hike to washing dishes by the campfire.
A collar and two-stage filter fight off grit, grime, and debris – easy to clean too by simply untwisting the cover, detaching the parts, flushing with water, and reassembling. Weatherproof for peace of mind in the field, its set-and-forget pump is capable of running dry without causing damage, while a rubberised 12-volt battery and lighter port leads make for safer off-grid powering.
Equipped with a compact filter suitable to fit the narrow openings of both tanks and jerry cans too – the Joolca Off-Grid Plumbing is the superior, self-priming solution to outside grit and grime!

Hi, I could you use this to pump water from a creek into your caravan water tank? Or Jerry can etc
G'day Geoff,
I reckon you could - can't see any reason why it wouldn't work!
Hi - how does the power plug in? A cig plug? So for example I’d be able to run this via my Companion Rover 40?
G'day Alice,
Yep, it's a rubberised 12v lighter plug lead.
The Rover 40 does have 1 of those outlets, so should be able to run from there no worries.
How long does the battery take to charge and how long will the battery pump water for?
G'day David,
This unit doesn't actually come with an inbuilt battery. The battery cables are included and are rubberised to provide a safer power delivery, however the unit will need to be connected to an external battery to run and power the unit.
The charge and run time will depend on the 12v battery/system that the unit is connected to. A larger battery system will mean the unit can run for longer as the battery will store more charge. This unit will draw a max of 5.8Amps.
I hope this helps!
