If you need to safely connect your 15A device to a 10A power supply, then the Mini 15A Power Adaptor from Ampfibian is the device for the job.
Ideal to use with your low power 15A power tools, this adaptor is rated to IP33 for indoor use and has an impact rating of IK08. You’ll also be personally protected from shocks as the Mini Power Adaptor uses a residual current device which cuts the power quickly if a fault is detected.
The Ampfibian Mini 15A Power Adaptor is also designed and made here in Australia, and is independently certified and tested to give you peace of mind whenever you use it.

I just recieved my product and the quality seems excellent. My question is that on the 15A plug end there is an extra rubber collar that protudes. This collar stops me from being able to plug the lead in far enough on the external power inport on my motorhome to make contact. I wanted to plug the device into this so that the 10A end could plug into a regular power point. Isn't this part of what it is designed for? Please advise thank you...Jeff
G'day Jeff,
15A sockets generally have the collar, it's very usually to find one these days without it.
We do hear from the occassional customer that they cant plug it into their van, and it tends to be older vans with a older style power reciever.
Can you confirm what motorhome you have?
Can I use this with a 3000 watts elec. bbq griddle with a 16 amp plug
G'day Gary,
This adapter purely allows you to plug a 15A plugged appliance into a house mains power supply.
If your BBQ has a 15A plug (which is the kind with the longer fatter earthing pin) you'll have no dramas.
The inverter I have says to use a type 'A' RCD - do you know if this one is suitable to be used with inverters?
G'day John,
The Ampfibian Mini 15A-10A Power Adapter has a Type C RCD, however you can easily take this adapter into an electrical wholesaler and purchase a Type A RCD to swap into it.
They're a standard size, and should just be a simple exchange.
Hope that helps!
Can this adaptor be used to connect the 15 amp caravan lead to a normal household powerpoint? The reason for my question is that in your description it states for INDOOR use.
G'day Emmy,
To add some context, the IP33 rating on the Ampfibian Mini 15A-10A Power Adapter means that it's protected from tools and wires greater than 2.5mm and is protected from water spray less than 60 degrees from vertical. If the conversion box part of the adapter was kept out of the rain, inside where the wall plug is, then I would suggest that you'd be perfectly fine as long as it's not bucketing down with rain.
