This little pump will turn heads in the campsite, the Sea to Summit Jet Stream Pumpsack is a spring-loaded pump that doubles as a stuff sack for your mat or other lightweight hiking gear.
Once attached to the valve of any Sea to Summit Sleeping Mat, the finger loops on the Jet Stream Pump combined with one-way intake ports make inflating your mat a fast and efficient procedure, without a dizzy head.
Made of durable 30D Ultra Sil Cordura fabric, the Jet Stream Pumpsack is a lightweight luxury you can afford on your next adventure.
When I bought my Sea to Summit mat (large, ultra light, insulated) several years ago from Snowy's, I passed on the pump. It sort of smacked as an add on gizmo to get some more bucks out of you. But I have experienced the light headedness associated with blowing the thing up manually too often so thought the pump sack might be worth a try. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I can inflate the mat far quicker with the pump with little or no effort required. The criticism Neil has in his review about not being able to pump it up hard enough is true to some degree But for heaven sake all you have to do is remove the pump and 3-4 breaths later it's as hard as anyone needs.
Purchased this to pump up my comfort plus large rectangular mat. I find that it attaches to the values well and pumps the mat up quickly but it gets to the stage where the air pressure in the mat is to great for the pump to put any more air in. I'm 100kg so I need to put plenty of air in the mat to keep me off the ground during the night. I end up blowing up the mat by breath. So the pump doesn't work for me.
easy to use and love any equipment that can be multi purposed
Light, compact, gets the job done quick and easy.
Haven't used it as a stuff sack.
Pumps up the sleeping mat well.
Works very well however to use as stuff sack for Large insulated pad it requires the pad to be rolled very tightly. It certainly a lot easier than inflating the pad by mouth and avoids condensation in the pad
nice little pump that fit well in the top of the comfort light stuff sack.(the comfort light mat (large) is to big to fit in the pump itself). after using it a couple of times i got the technique down pat and it inflates quickly. saves on a dizzy head :-)
Is a much better option than blowing up your mattress manually. Takes next to no time or effort. It also fits my STS Ultralight Mat perfectly with room to spare.
It is a s2s mat.
The Sea to Summit Jet Stream Pump Sack will only fit the Comfort Light (blue) and Ultralight (yellow) mats inside it. I have a Comfort Plus Insulated and find it fits well in the top of the storage bag.
More specific is it compatible with the Sea to Summit Camp Mat SI Sleeping Mat & Sea to Summit Aeros Pillow
I've just given Sea to Summit a buzz and they told me that their Jet Stream Pump Sack doesn't work with their new pillows as the valve is too small. The old model pillows would work but they've changed the valves to make them pack down smaller. It will work with your SI Camp Mat without any worries though.
Coleman Quickbed Airbed Queen
I've just looked into this for you, and I found that the Jet Stream Pump Sack from Sea to Summit isn't going to be able to inflate a Coleman Quickbed as the valves are not compatible.
Your best bet would be to get yourself a Coleman Quickpump as that will have your airbed inflated in no time.
such as tubing? Do you sell such an adaptor?
There's nothing readily available sorry Jeff. I'm sure someone with a bit of creativity and motivation could fashion something that would work, but I don't think it would be a quick and easy solution. The Jet Stream Pump Sack's are designed specifically for the valve on the Sea To Summit sleeping mats.
I have the sea to summit ultra light but don't remember the size. Will it say the size somewhere? Just need to know if this sack will fit
You can find the Sea to Summit Ultralight Mat here.
Good news - your mat will fit in the Sea to Summit Jet Stream.
Blackwolf Deluxe self-inflating mat
Unfortunately, the Black Wolf Mats use a different valve which means the Sea to Summit Jet Stream won't be of any use with them.
which models will fit
That’s a great question, I’ve had a look at the info provided by the supplier, and the Sea to Summit mats that will fit inside the Jet Stream Pump Sack are:
- Ultralight (non-insulated) Small, Medium, and Large size
- Ultralight Insulated Small and Medium size
- Comfort Light (non-insulated) Small, Medium, and Large size
- Comfort Plus Tapered (non-insulated) Small, Medium, and Large size
- Comfort Plus Rectangular (non-insulated) Medium and Large size.
Hi, will this work on an Exped Synmat UL 7?
I've just tested this pump pack with the Exped but the valves are not compatible I'm sorry.
Will the regular size S2S Ultralight Insulated fit in the stuffsack?
We've just tested this for ourselves in store, and you can definitely fit the Sea to Summit Ultralight Insulated Regular Mat inside the Jet Stream Pump Sack. Just keep in mind that the original stuff sack will be a little more of a generous fit though.
