There’s nothing worse than having water drip down through the gap in your gazebos onto your carefully laid out market stall, dinner table or outdoor setup.
Don’t let imperfect weather conditions spoil your day, instead use the OZtrail Gutter System to help drain water away from your sheltered area and join your three-meter size gazebo canopies together. This gutter system is made from long-lasting silver coated fabric which is the same as the OZtrail gazebos.
To attach, you just put pre-stitched hooks through the eyelets on the gazebo frame, and then align it with the Velcro on the canopy. The perfect gazebo accessory to have at your disposal, the OZtrail Gutter system makes outdoor entertaining possible even in wet conditions.
I haven't used the article yet, but looks fantastic. Service from Snowy was again fantastic. Thanks so much
This is brilliant, it is designed so it has fall from one end to the other, and doesn't leak in rain. There is also some extra length on the drain so it drains away from the undercover area. It does collect leaves etc. if you're camping for a while though, so be careful when you take it down!
Works well...no more drips!!
Hi can you advise how this gutter is attached to the gazebo? Is it clipped under the gazebo side? I'm trying to work out if I can use it to join my gazebo to my camper trailer awning as right now there is a 20cm gap. No one I ask seems to have a solution for me so if this doesn't work...
It looks like you will need to replicate the attachment points on your awning to make it work (this gutter system uses hooks and Velcro).
It may also be a stretch with a 20cm gap, as you need it to dip in the middle to catch the water. It may work, but as we said the distance between the awning and the gazebo might be an issue. I hope this helps John!
Will the gutter help to prevent water pooling on the roof of the portico?
I reckon you're on to a winner idea there. Using the Oztrail Gutter System should definitely protect your Portico from a fair bit of runoff water from the Gazebo itself.
Is there a smaller version for the 2.4 m gazebos? Or can they be modified to fit the smaller one?
I've just checked with Oztrail, and they don't make the gutter system in a 2.4m size. I'm not sure how you would go about modifying it, but it's not something we would specifically recommend - as it would void the warranty on the product.
For instance, placing a gutter between the gazebo and an awning, or on its own to stop water flowing over one edge.
The Oztrail Gutter System can't be used on its own because it's made from polyester so it doesn't have a rigid structure. This means that you need both gazebos to set it up (as shown in the image linked above).
We have 2 Oxtrail gazebos 3m x 4.5
Oztrail only make the Gazebo Gutter System in the 3m length. With some alterations you might be able to work something out, if you want to join the 4.5m ends together.
It won't attach to the RV tents sorry Mark, at least not with some modifications and/or additions for attachment. The Gutter system attaches with hooks, eyelets and velcro, the RV tents won't have corresponding attachment points.
