Is assembly required when the package arrives?1 answer
On purchasing, will the product come fully assembled or will I need to put it together? Are any tools required?
Iain - Margate(5 years ago)
G'day Iain,
There is some assembly required when you receive the washing machine, however it is fairly straight forward and won't require any tools.

chamodi - Dandenong(5 years ago)
G'day Chamodi,
If you check out the User Manual on our product page there are some instructions for use, however, essentially you just place your items in the eyewash, add water and detergent, seal the lid, turn using the handle, drain and then rinse.

Storage Bag1 answer
What storage bag will it fit in
Karen - Toormina(5 years ago)
G'day Karen,
I measured the washing machine straight out of its box and the best fit is the Oztrail Canvas Duffle Bag in a Medium, plus this also gives you extra storage for other bits and pieces. If you were wanting to keep the machine totally assembled then a Large bag would be better suited.

The spin cycle1 answer
How wet does the spin cycle leave the washing?? Please Julie.
Julie - Coffs Harbour NSW(6 years ago)
This machine doesn't have a spin cycle, Julie. It's a manual machine that you turn by hand to wash and simply place an outlet on the bottom to drain. The clothes will be wet after washing and you'll need to hand them out to dry.

Spare parts1 answer
Can I get a replacement drain pipe
Lee-Anne - Armidale (6 years ago)
G'day Lee-Anne,
A replacement drain pipe for the EzyWash isn't a readily available item, so the best thing to do would be to give our customer support team a call on 1300 914 007 and they'll take your details and follow it up with the supplier.

Would this be suitable for washing a Darche Cold Mountain 900 sleeping bag? 1 answer
Thanks
Trent - Albany WA(6 years ago)
G'day Tent,
The Companion Ezywash Washing Machine has a 2.5kg max wash load capacity so the Darche Cold Mountain 900 is going to be a little to large and heavy to wash in this.

Can it be used to wash shoes?1 answer
And if so, how many pairs at a time
Phil - Melbourne(6 years ago)
G'day Phil,
I've just gone downstairs and had a look at the product to see if I could answer this for you. The opening of the Ezywash machine is 14cm in diameter so you might struggle to fit sandshoes or boots through that opening, but if you could fit your shoes in there, I'd guess that 2 pairs would be the maximum.
I would say that this product isn't ideal for washing shoes, because they absorb quite a lot of water and can't really be wrung out, so without a machine operated spin cycle, it would be tough to dry them. I hope this helps Phil.

Raegan - Kyneton(6 years ago)

What is the largest item tha you can wash in it...ie sheet(s)1 answer
Christine - MELTON, VIC(8 years ago)
Hi Christine, this particular washing machine has a capacity of 2.2kg. I've had a look at it myself, and it is definitely on the smaller side. You may be able to squeeze a single fitted sheet in, but any sheet bigger than that would be a struggle. The Ezywash will however fit bath towels, clothing and pillowcases with no trouble at all.

does it come apart for storage while travelling1 answer
Lyn - padstow nsw(9 years ago)
The handle and drum can be removed from the stand Lyn, which makes it a little easier to transport, but that's as far as it can be packed down. These are removed easily, simple split pins hold everything in place, so dis-assembly isn't any huge undertaking.
