Is this the same inflation/deflation valve as the Zempire mats?
G'day Phil,
They are, yep. The valve hub and closing cap are different, but the physical rotating valve disc between inflate and deflate modes is common across a range of different self-inflating mat brands.
Can you please advise if you have any pump that will fit Quest valve? Finding it quite difficult to deflate and pack without a pump/deflator. Thanks.
G'day Grant,
We use the Coleman Quickpumps to deflate our demo mats that have the same valve as this Quest bed.
It doesnt perfectly seal, but you just hold it up against the valve and it works a treat.
Is the carry bag asctually waterproof or water resistant?
G'day Trent,
There's no suggestion that it's either waterproof or water-resistant, more that the storage bag is in the style of a classic dry bag with the roll top closure.
If you're wanting to strap it to your roof rack, etc we'd suggest covering it with a tarp
