Sometimes with swags, it really is what’s inside that counts. Don’t be deceived by the Coolabah’s humble appearance, she may not be the flashiest or most glamorous swag - but she’s as sturdy as a rock.
With room for two adventurers (or one who likes the extra space) the Coolabah Double Dome Swag will give you plenty of room without feeling like you’ve been packed in like sardines. The durable hard-wearing canvas will not only protect you from the elements – it’ll also keep you warm and toasty on cold nights. For warmer evenings, just roll down the canvas and let some air in through the 3/4 sandfly proof mesh opening on the front of the swag.
The 60mm high-density foam mattress provides a solid base to sleep on when you're out adventuring. The Coolabah X Large Swag also features black aircraft strength poles give this swag its structure, plus a waterproof boot bag for keeping your boots out of the elements.
The addition of extra poles to the classic Coolabah provides extra height and structure so you don’t feel like the walls are closing in on you when you’re trying to doze off. With the Coolabah, you can jump in your car and head out into the horizon knowing you've got a comfortable and weatherproof place to rest.

Just wondering if the double swag the big Burke and wills one, does it have a pvc bottom thanks
G'day Tanya,
The floor on the Coolabah Double Swag is an 18 Oz (600 gsm) Ripstop Stormguard™ Canvas, so while it's not PVC, it's very heavy duty canvas.
Gday, can you summarise please the main differences btwn the B W redgum and coolibah double swags?
G'day Simo,
The main differences between the Coolabah and Redgum come down to the canvas. The Coolabah model has a heavier duty canvas and a top flap that only comes partially down the side of the swag. The Redgum has a slightly higher head height and a canvas flap that comes almost all the way down to the ground. Apart from that, they're a very similar swag.
Was this product meant to come with any instructions for care and waterproofing? We did not receive any?
G'day Sian,
This doesn't sound right - we'd love to help get some instructions into your hands. Would you mind sending our customer support team an email at service@snowys.com.au with your order details and they can look into this further for you?
Is the canvas Australian and is the swag made in Australia?
G'day Mark,
I've just spoken to Burke & Wills and they've told me that the canvas is made in Australia, and the swags are made in China.
just picked up our new coolabah double swag,to find a smaller mat size at the head, and only one mat on the side (zipped storage?) our old one had one each side and a full width at the head. photo on web shows the old !!!. Much prefer to have the mats as they were.
G'day Steve,
Thanks for pointing this out. Unfortunately, a little while ago, Burke and Wills took their manufacturing overseas and as a result changed a lot of product features and specifications and their communication of these changes has been minimal. Sorry for the confusion - as a result, we've decided this morning to take some bigger steps to try and rectify these issues.
We absolutely agree with you in terms of the swags features itself and will pass your feedback along. So far, all the changes seem to have been down-specs from what we have established.
If you'd like to discuss your options with your new swag, please don't hesitate to give us a call on 1300 914 007 and we can have a chat about ways forward.
