Firstly, I can totally understand where you're coming from - that's a concern a lot of people have nowadays but we have a huge amount of confidence in Waeco, and it's very rare that we come across any issues with their products. 

I've spoken to Waeco and they've told me that they no longer use a Danfoss compressor, instead they use their own brand which is based on the Danfoss and is made in China. The only real difference between the two is that there is an extra 2 years on the warranty for the Waeco brand compressor. 

We've been selling the models with the Waeco compressor for a while now, and found them to perform exactly the same as past fridges, and Waeco have reassured me that the quality has remained the same across the range. 

We have a close relationship with the supplier, so if there ever is a concern we're happy to sort it all out for you. If you have any other concerns feel free to give us or Waeco a call - we're always happy to talk you through the range.

I'bve just checked for you, and yes you can use a hella plug with the Waeco CFX-50. It actually also comes with one when you purchase as well.
