The support system is close to your back, and provides padding and ventilation to keep you cool and comfortable on your journey. You can adjust the harness up and down to make it fit your torso, and there are load lifter straps which will also help give you a custom fit. The X shape frame will help provide stability and transfer the bulk of your weight to your hips for comfort.
With access points at the lid and the bottom so you can separate your gear easily, and the compression straps give you the ability to streamline your pack when you’re carrying a lighter load. With the extra 10L available to you, you can fit more in your pack if you pick up more gear along the way.

Difference in the ACT Lite vs Aircontact carry system1 answer
Hi, have been researching the Lite vs Aircontact series high and low.... what's the big difference in the 2 carry systems? Other than a few added pockets, what's the performance difference of the 2 bags? thanks
Lara - Melbourne VIC(7 years ago)
G'day Lara,
It can be a little confusing, so to put it simply - the Aircontact system is designed to bear heavier loads for longer trips - so it has more padding, the harness is a little more flexible, and it is slightly less breathable than the ACT Lite system.
The ACT Lite on the other hand, will channel air down your back, and is slightly less padded as it's designed to be very breathable - so it's better for shorter trips.
Another unrelated point of difference that's worth noting is that the Aircontact packs come with a rain cover, whilst the ACT Lite packs do not.
I hope that made sense Lara, let us know if you have any further queries about the Deuter range.
