This is NOT an espresso maker

Just thought I should point out that Espresso is a specific type of coffee, one where the water is forced through the grind at over 8 bar pressure.

Coffe on the go

Makes a great coffee. Not so compact. Not all water picks up Some water remains in the bottom. The holes are too big in the pickup hence coffe grinds end up in the bottom with the left over water. The cups are easy to hold but, hard to drink out of as they get quite hot, so decanter to another for use. I had to use extra washers provided for the stem to tighten down in the correct location.

Thanks for the review and the feedback Mark. Glad to hear, despite all that, it still makes great coffee. I have passed your feedback on to the Campfire rep - I think it's important that they know how their products are performing in the field. Cheers, Paul

can you place this directly over a camp fire?1 answer

Thanks!

It's designed predominantly for camp stoves Ellie, it might get a little damaged and blackened if you put it on a campfire. A small fire may be OK, but I'd recommend keeping it on a gas stove.
