Will this fit nicely on the Zempire Z leg single stretcher?
G'day Nick,
Yeah, absolutely. You shouldn't have too many issues with this combo.
How does the comfort of the STS Comfort Plus compare with the STS Comfort Deluxe? Would the Comfort Plus be suitable for a 100kg person? Looking at purchasing this as a gift for someone, for the use on multi-night adventure motorbike touring. The Comfort Deluxe (LW) would be preferable however, the packed dimensions of 79 cm would likely be too wide to practically mount and travel with, so the Comfort Plus (LR) is the other option, although just concerned about the comfort level in comparison?
G'day Liam,
I agree the packed sized of the Comfort Deluxe wouldnt be as practical for motorcycle touring, although it does depend on the individual and what they're will ing to compromise on.
The Comfort Plus has some great reviews, one from a moto tourer, and is really comfy despite being a bit thinner. The only issue with choosing a mat is that comfort is such a personal thing, and you can get opposing views from people on the same product!
I've had a quick search through all the reviews and feedback on mats across our website, specifically from Motorbike campers, just to see what other options ther are that people love.
The top flags are the Etherlight Insulated in the Large Rectangular size, or the Exped Versa / Exped Ultra for cold weather (these are the upgrades of the older Synmat and Downmat which were our top moto camping mats).
The other option which may be worth considering is the Exped Megamat Lite. Its 12cm thick and is the 'air filled' version of the top selling Exped Megamat. We don't have many reviews yet because its new to us, but they're an incredible mat option which packs quite small. We anticipate these will be a huge moto touring favourite.
Hope that helps, feel free to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 if theres any further info we can help with.
What is your recommendation for portable manual pump that fit this mat?
G'day Antonia,
The Air Stream Dry Sack will be your best bet for a manual pump option to suit this mat.
Hope that helps!
What is the difference? Seems 0.5cm thicker, 0.2 less R value, very similar on page.
G'day Chris,
Yep, spot on. Those are the main differences, but the Camp Mat aslo has slightly different external fabrics. Essentially the Camp Mat is the base mat, and the Comfort Plus is mid range, with the Comfort Deluxe being the premium. All are excellent mats with great reviews, it just depends on your preferences & budget.
Hope that helps.
Hi, I have Exped air pump battery powered. Can I use this to inflate this sleeping mat faster? I want to avoid using my mouth to inflate. Thank you.
G'day Min,
Are you talking about the Exped Widget Pump?
If so, then yes. Its not a straight forward fit, you need to give it a bit of a jiggle and push, but it does connect.
Hope that helps!
