spreader bar ends1 answer
do you sell just the ends?
Will - Adelaide, SA (3 years ago)
G'day Will,
Supa Peg do a flat nylon spreader insert which you can find here. You just need to measure the outer diameter of your existing poles.

Do the eyelet ends (at the end of each side of the pole ) spin ? (swivel ?) 1 answer
Was wondering do the eyelet ends at each end of the pole spin or swivel where you put your upright poles to accommodate the spreader as you have to twist one end of the pole to lock in place once you have your desired length
Andrew Peene - Iluka, NSW(4 years ago)
*UPDATE*
The latest version of these spreader bars now come with swivel end inserts, so you shouldn't have any issues with them lining up to existing poles.

Oxley 7 awning compatability?1 answer
Would this be compatible to use on the Oxley 7 canvas awning to put a peak in the middle?
Dan - New Lambton(5 years ago)
G'day Dan,
The Oztent Alloy Telescopic Spreader Pole is bang on for use with the Oxley 7 peaked awning set up. As long as you've already got the additional 2 awning poles, this will be the last piece you need. Hope that helps.

tarp shelter support1 answer
I have 3.6x5.5m tarp and would like to know if I can use this spreader for support it? if yes then how many poles do I need? If no then what do you recomomend to use? thanks
thai - 2166(6 years ago)
G'day Thai,
Thanks for the great question, unfortunately, the Alloy Telescopic Spreader will be too short to fit across the width of your tarp as the maximum length is 260cm. You would likely need to go for something a little longer like the Supa Peg Eye to Eye T-Nut Spreader Poles. I would generally suggest at least 3 spreader poles and then some upright poles and guy ropes to secure the set up.

Suitable for Colman’s 6 person instant up tent side awning?1 answer
Would a couple of these be suitable to take the slack out of the side awning of the Colman’s gold series instant up tent? If so would I need to also replace the existing poles with more sturdier ones
Loren - Hervey Bay (6 years ago)
G'day Loren,
The Oztent Alloy Telescopic Spreader Pole might not do the trick as they require an upright attachment pole at both ends of the pole. If you are planning to run it across the front edge of the side awning it might work, but you should be able to use the guy ropes to tension any slack. It might be best to give us a call on 1300 914 007 to chat through the options.

Horizontal or Vertical?1 answer
Are these the poles that go vertical or horizontal? Or can it be both?
Teresa - Malmsbury(7 years ago)
G'day Teresa,
The Oztent Alloy Telescopic Spreader Pole is designed to go horizontally between 2 of the upright poles.

Using as a bar to help support awning in middle
Darren - Brisbane(7 years ago)
G'day Darren,
I've just checked with our store manager, and he says that this pole should be fine to use as the length is adjustable.
But, it won't be a perfect fit as the spigot on the original Oztrail pole (that comes with the tent) will have a right angle shape to lock in place, so just keep that in mind.
Emily - Snowys(7 years ago)
G'day Darren,
I reckon you could be on to a winner with that idea!

Can these be used with the tagalong tent? 1 answer
Do they give more support to the awning if it is used with the tagalong tent?
Paul - SALISBURY, QLD(9 years ago)
Hi Paul,
These can certainly be used with the TagaLong tent and will definitely add more stability to the whole structure.
As you have to attach the TagaLong tent to its relevant couterpart RV awning, if you have the spreader pole running across that part of the awning it will add more stability to the structure. This is better than just relying on the guy-ropes to keep the structure up and standing.
Ps. Great choice of tent, RV's are great. I have one myself!

I'm looking for a spreader pole for the turbo plus 300 front awning to tighten up the area with the side walls will this do the job and what attachments will I need?1 answer
Hugo - Bunbury wa (9 years ago)
G'day Hugo - This isn't really suitable for the Turbo Plus 300. There is only one horizontal pole in the Turbo awning design, and that's a ridge pole that runs from the central hub of the tent to the middle vertical awning pole. There would be nowhere on the tent side for one of these to attach for the sidewalls. When properly guyed out, there is no need for additional poles for the awning anyway. If I have missed something here, do let me know - more than happy to help you get the most out of your Turbo. Cheers, Paul
