Ahnu is a relatively new brand in the outdoor footwear category. Beginning in 2007 in the San Francisco Bay area by two friends and mothers who preferred the treadmill over a trail.
These friends combined with one other, and the three founders of Ahnu combined their passion and began designing and manufacturing performance footwear with a fresh look at design. Their goal was to make outdoor more fun and accessible with a little less aggression, and it is these values that has landed them a comfortable market amongst casual outdoor enthusiasts.
They carefully choose materials and design to uniquely balance fitness and fashion whilst providing performance and comfort. The word Ahnu was chosen as their brand after the Celtic goddess of balance between well-being and prosperity.
