True Volume? True Dimensions?1 answer
It says 40L but those dimensions equal around 26L?
Gee - Doncaster, VIC(1 week ago)
G'day Gee,
We don't have one of these instock here to physically measure for you, but the bag is a roll down design. The measurements provided are done on the pack measuring to the seams, and with the bag rolled and fasted on its tightest roll. Theres more room there when it's actually physically packed. Also, theres no standardisation with measuring pack capacity - each brand will measure their capacity differently, and its almost never based on dimensions. More often than not it will be with sandbags, or a waterproof liner and filling with water, and using that to gauge volume.
Hope that helps!

Overall height1 answer
I need a lightweight travel backpack for carry on. Can the max height be compressed to 50cm suitable for airline carry-on.
Stewart - Charlestown, NSW(2 weeks ago)
G'day Stewart,
The backpack itself has a rigid aluminium frame inside the pack, meaning it can't be compressed or rolled down any further.

Size1 answer
I am about 167cm tall... would the 40 5 pack be a good fit for me? Is it unisex?
Debbie - Duffy, ACT (2 weeks ago)
G'day Debbie,
The fit and sizing of this pack is the same as the other 45L Naturehike pack you've asked about. The straps are adjustable, so you'll be able to get the right length/fit - I'm 170cm and its quite comfortable.

Bag dimensions of the 60L vs 40L3 answers
Are the bags the same dimensions for the frame, straps and over all size? Is it just the roll top of the bag that increases in size to add in the addition 20L difference between the 40L vs 60L ?
Fabs - Sydney, NSW(1 month ago)
G'day Fabs,
The two packs have the same fixed harness with no height variability. The main difference is that the body of the bag itself is about 10cm taller in the 60L version.
Leece - Snowys(1 month ago)
In the brochure, it states the wearer’s back length is different for the 40 and 60. It suggests a back length of 48-49cm for the small pack and 54-55cm for the large. This makes me think the harness is placed differently. Can you confirm they are the same sized harness please
Lauri - Glenelg North, SA (2 days ago)
G'day Lauri,
We can't sorry - we only have one of these bags instock in our warehouse at the moment. When both bag sizes are restocked, we can definitely check this out again for you.

Is this 40+5 or 45+51 answer
Is this 40 5 or 45 5 as both are in the details
Peter - Ermington, NSW(3 months ago)
G'day Peter,
Apologies for the confusion. It is a 40 5L, we'll get the capacity specification edited to reflect this shortly.

Hip belt1 answer
Is the hip belt removable
George - Perth, WA (5 months ago)
G'day George,
Unfortunately, we don't currently have any stock of these to physically look at, so it's hard to know. Generally, packs of this design have a stitched-in hip belt that can't be removed. Ben (from the video) wasn't able to recall whether it was removable or not!

Kids?1 answer
Could this pack work for kids, say 7,9, 11 years old?
Grant - Frenchs Forest, NSW (10 months ago)
G'day Grant,
I would say this may be a little long and too big for a Kids sized backpack, while it does have the ability to adjust this would be a little big. We always suggest trying on some packs to find the right fit.
