Named after Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze is a revival of a Deuter classic that’s been kicking around for over thirty years. Simple and steadfast, the Zugspitze is the fuss-free daypack for your lightweight day hikes and adventures.
This slimline fit makes it ideal for those with a slighter or leaner frame, and it features a stretch pocket on each side and a zippered one on the front. The back panel on the Zugspitze is Deuter’s air comfort system which is made from mesh for ventilation and features a durable spring steel frame that is light, flexible and durable. It also comes with comfortable ventilated hip pads which will help make it more comfortable to carry your load.
With hiking loops on the pack, you can strap on your hiking poles with ease, and the detachable rain cover will come in handy in drizzly weather. The lid opening makes accessing your gear super easy and the roomy front and side pockets allow you to distribute and organise your stuff in your pack. If you’re after a simple pack for day trips or your everyday commute, then you can’t go past the Zugspitze 22SL from Deuter.

How many days of luggage will I fit into this bag?1 answer
Going to New Zealand and would not want to pack too much but need it to fit at least a weeks worth of clothes.
Lisa - Forest hill (6 years ago)
G'day Lisa,
I'm going to be incredibly unhelpful here but it really depends on when you're going and how much you're wanting to take with you. I would say that you'd be able to fit 2-3 full outfits into the Deuter Zugspitze 22 SL, Daypack, including a jumper, pants etc. If you were going to wear pants and jumpers for numerous days then you might be able to squeeze a week out of it but it would be pretty tight.

Is it suitable for a shorter person1 answer
Hi I am 155cm tall and smaller frame
would this pack be suitable for my build.
Thanks
Sharon - Daisy Hill(6 years ago)
G'day Sharon,
As a 183cm male, I'm not the best qualified to answer this. So I got our customer service manager, Kirsty, to try the bag on for you. She's at about 157cm and is of a slim build too. She tightened the shoulder straps to their tightest setting to get the bag to stay on well and there was still a couple of centimetres gap at the top of her shoulders. She made mention that the sternum strap was in an uncomfortable position for her but that would vary from person to person. Other than that, she said that the Deuter Zugspitze 22 SL Daypack was really comfortable and that with the sternum strap loose, or undone, it was great.

How does camel pick fit 1 answer
Is there instructions on how to put camel pack in as I can't find hole at the top for the tube
Carla - Mriver (7 years ago)
Hi Carla,
This pack is not designed to be hydration compatible however there is a back sleeve panel you can place your bladder into and simply run the hose out the top at the side (which is actually where they normally put a hose port).
On the right chest strap you can then secure the hose to the strap using the webbing loop. Hope this helps.
