hi im missing the app for my oricom can you please send me info thanks
G'day Frank,
You need to use the camera app on your phone to scan the QR on the back of the product packaging. The app is called 'safetycam', by Mingshanghui.
Myself and my friend bought 1 of these each and neither of us can get the orange tab that covers the charging plug point back in once pulled out. Anyone got any suggestions. The device is not waterproof while the tab is not closed.
G'day Susan,
I've just grabbed one to check out and had a bit of a play around.
It's definatley a tight fit, and is abit fiddly to get back in, but I feel like thats a good thing cause you know its fairly water tight.
You just need to make sure the orange plug is perfectly aligned, and straight to the hole, and then give it abit of a wiggle when you push it in.
The first time took me a while, but now i've got the nack for it it's very quick to get back in.
Can you tell me if the app works on Android Auto so I can see the camera on my inbuilt screen ? Thanks
G'day Gerry,
Its not something we've tried, but you can attempt to load the app before you purchase the camera to double check.
You can find a link the the app here.
Will the camera still work through the App when outside of mobile network coverage?
G'day Toby,
You'll require data to download an install the Oricom app, but after that point the wireless connection exists between the camera and your mobile only.
It doesnt require a common network connection to operate.
