The Star-River 2P Ultralight Tent by Naturehike is the ultimate lightweight, overnight pod for the couples of the track!
Owing to the subtle yet superior strength of 7001 aluminium poles, a 20D rip-stop nylon construction, and a 4000mm-rated, water resistant PU-coating on the outer rainfly - this tent stands up to challenging weather and the rough and tumble outdoor adventuring, despite a lightweight and compact design. A dual-layer ventilation design features high-density B3 mesh that boasts breathability and promotes airflow too – so every mountain top moment feels weightless.
From hiking the track to hitting the sack, this tent comfortably accommodates two people – plus, benefit from a large vestibule space to store your gear. Set up is a fast, efficient, 5-minute task thanks to a clever Y-shaped pole system for an easy, one-person assembly too.
For a quick-to-connect trackside canopy – carry the Naturehike Star-River 2P Ultralight Tent on to the crest on your next hiking or bike-packing quest!
Does this setup include tent pegs? And what type of peg if included? Thank you
G'day Deb,
Yes you get 14 aluminium alloy v-shaped tent stakes. They are roughly 15cm in length.
Trying to decide between this - the companion prohiker 2 or the Spartan 2 for motorcycle camping. Any pros and cons between the 3 or is it splitting hairs? Is one particularly more durable? ... Easier to set up?... Etc etc..
G'day Vince,
The Companion Pro Hiker, and the Spartan are the better choices for motocycle campers, they just had an additional level of durability about them that you wont get with the Ultralight Naturehike.
The Spartan is abit harder to set up, but the design of the frame means the headspace in the tent is more open/squared out.
Hi, I wanted to know if this tent comes with a footprint, and if the footprint weight forms part of the reported total weight?
G'day Nick,
Yep, it comes with a footprint which is also included in the total weight of the tent.
Is this a freestanding tent?
G'day Bev,
Yep sure is, but you'll need pegs or some kind of anchor to get the vestibules set up.
What is the length of the poles when bundled together for storage?
G'day Matt,
The packed length for hiking tents is generally determined by the smallest the poles can collapse too.
This tents poles are 44cm long. Hope that helps!
Does this version feature the modular storage system to separate the inner, fly and poles?
G'day Matt,
The Star River could be carried in separate components, however there aren't individual modular bags for each component. The poles and pegs have their own bags, then you could store the inner in the main bag, leaving just the fly to store in a separate sack/bag of your choice.
