Good seat

Had borrowed one of these in the past, so knew what I was getting. It is useful where higher chairs not allowed. I appreciate it being so light to carry at festivals, etc.

Good but there are flaws

It is a very comfortable chair when you tighten the straps to the max. The seat is padded and waterproof so you can sit on a wet/damp surfaces. You can roll it into a neat cylinder and secure it with the straps provided. Very light to carry over your shoulder to events and picnics. We bought two of these but unfortunately mine had a defect and the webbing was not secured properly and tore out of the fabric on during our first outing.

Simple but read the label! (Dangerous?)

Very simple inexpensive seat for use say meditating inside your tent or something like that. My only gripe is I was looking at the USA label and user instructions and it said this product has cancer causing materials in it. And I though no way will I be sitting on that. Maybe because it is an American product? I hope there will be more eco-sustainable alternatives out there soon. It's a pity a large company like Coleman can't get it together enough to phase out or re-design a product like this...

Response from Snowys Mar 28 2017

G'day Martin,

After reading your comment, I went downstairs to look at one of the labels. It seemed a bit strange to me.... so after doing a bit of digging around, I've found that by law in California (under 'Proposition 65'), businesses need to present this warning when a product has been manufactured with a specific type of chemical - the list has more than 800 chemicals, which only applies to the State of California.

If you're interested to know more, cancer.org have an informative page on Proposition 65, which was really helpful... well, it was for me.

I hope this helps... I know that I'd be more than comfortable using this product (on both counts).

Laine :)

Great for Womad

At first I didn't think it would work when not leaning against something, but after tightening to sides to the max, it did take my weight and I didn't fall over backwards. Very light and easy to carry around. Seat part could be a bit softer but better than sitting on the ground!

not quite perfect

Pretty good, but the back is too high. I need to put a cushion inside to keep my pelvis upright. I attempt to cancel those frightful curves on public benches with all manner of props. This helps.

Great

We use the seat in Grandstands at events and are so much better than sitting on hard seats all day

Fantastic festival chair

Amazing chair especially for festivals - light to carry around, easy to fold, will fit flat in luggage or roll & carry over the shoulder, strong, cheap, adjustable for back, low so as not to limit people's view of stage. Have had ours a year & it is like new. Perfect for WOMAD.

Excellent camping chair: except for breaking: thankfully Snowy replaced!

We love this kind of chair for camping, takes up very little room, keeps you down on the ground with the kids etc.

The chair has a nifty back pocket and a carry strap (which though was a bit excessive initially but when taking the chair down to the river for a picnic it was actually handy!)

Only problem, after about a week on the road camping, the top stitching came undone and one back support came popping out. That was rather annoying esp since we had 5 more weeks to go and no way to get another. Anyway, I let Snowy's know, and there was a replacement waiting for me when I got home. Maybe someone should let Coleman know.

Just perfect

We have bought two of these for when we go to the footy game, as it is not footy season time yet we have not used them, but they seem perfect. They come with a carry handle/ shoulder strap and are nice and light, very pleased with our purchase.

Perfect

I bought this for a music festival where concerts are sometimes in churches and halls with hard uncomfortable seating. So much better than carrying around cushions. I had searched online and this was by far the best. Delivery was almost immediate and a local company is an added bonus.

Weight limit1 answer

Is there a weight limit for the person sitting in the seat?

- Nhill(1 day ago)

G'day Janine,

As the Coleman Stadium Seat is designed to be used on another seat or on the ground, Coleman haven't had it weight tested.

Lay Flat Dimensions1 answer

Hi What are the dimensions when laid flat, ie for using as a sleeping mat?

- 4811(10 months ago)

G'day Lachlan,

We don't have a display model to measure for you unfortunately, but this seat should be approximately 80cm long when laid flat as it's 39cm long when folded.

Does this have a storage panel on the back?1 answer

Also, maybe a carrying strap?

- WAITARA, NSW(1 year ago)
Yes to both of your queries Peter, it has a mesh panel slightly smaller than the seat back, and a carry handle for easy transport when rolled up.
