The Sea to Summit Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag has a 10D nylon shell and 850+ Loft European Goose Down that is so light and compact even ultra-lightweight adventurers can sleep warm at night.

At just 625g for the regular length bag, the Spark SP3 has a perfect all-season balance between warmth and weight and compresses down so small that Sea to Summit had to re-engineer their compression sacks to reduce effectively.

Utilising Sea To Summit’s Ultra-Dry Down fill means the Spark SP3 Sleeping Bag will not wane in performance should it succumb to moisture.  A 1/3 length light gauge zipper combines with a close-fitting mummy design, foot box, 3D hood and a sewn through baffle construction to create a lightweight bag for minimalist adventures in all but the coldest of climates.

  • 850+ Loft Ultra Dry European Goose Down

Love this sleeping bag

I chose this sleeping bag after extensive research over the best one to buy for my 7 day hike on the Overland track in Tasmania. I chose this Sea to Summit for the main reasons of how compact is is, and how lightweight while still warm. I love how small it compresses to, allowing more room in your backpack for other items. It is also highly light-weight compared to other sleeping bags. Although the comfort rating isn't as low as some others, for what I needed it for (and will likely need it for in the future), it was enough at -10deg. A great sleeping bag, just be careful like with all down not to let it get wet - double bagging worked well!

Great bag!

I am currently bikepacking and using this bag in Northern Europe where the nights are getting cooler.
It is a very comfortable bag, super light and packing really small for its warmth. As a larger woman, I find it much roomier than the Golite mummy I used to travel with.
I should comment about its smell, though: as soon as exposed to humidity or condensation, it will smell of wet duck. It's the first time I have this experience with a down bag. As a farmer's daughter, I really don't mind that slight poultry smell, but you might.

Fantastic Bag!

I recently purchased this bag after much online research for walking the Te Araroa trail in NZ. It has to be the one bag that covers the NZ summer in the north to the cold of the southern highland passes. I have tested it on training through hikes in Cooloola NP at 20'c and down to 2'c at Lamington NP. I was concerned at first about the lack of full length zip and no shoulder baffle but neither of these I have missed. The hood wraps perfectly around a STS aeros pillow to make a perfectly snuggly sleep and the down is so fluffy and cosy is hard to get out of bed ! There are no cold spots and the super lightweight fabric is quiet - no chip packet noise ! There is also adequate leg and shoulder room that allows you to roll over inside without twisting up the bag. The compression bag it comes with is high quality and the storage bag is a brilliant design to allow you to store it loosely when packed away. I can't wait to use it again!

Super Cosy Sleeping Bag

This sleeping bag was purchased for a 5 day hike in Queensland ( mid winter the nights inland can become chilly, our coldest night was 1 degree). It ticks a few boxes: it rolls up really small, it's lightweight, it's super cosy and I liked the shorter zip length too, no fumbling around at your feet when you are trying to get cosy quickly. Excellent!!

Warm but packs up small

Used this on a recent trip to snow. Camped in Jindy and was -7 deg C. Was totally toasty with this and StS ultralight insulated sleeping mat (also did quick review for it too). Didn't need hood up even.

It packs up unbelievably small. This thing is 1/3 of the size and weight of my last macpac sleeping bag and is warmer which really is hard to believe.

Great to combine with mat mentioned above. Can't wait to take hiking to see how much lighter my pack will be!

Totally happy with purchase and snowys is my go-to camping store now... Love it.

Excellent Sleeping Bag!!

Very compact, lightweight and extremely warm! Bought for hiking conditions where you have to carry everything in and out. This was an excellent choice! All of the Sea to Summit gear we've bought so far has been absolutely fabulous; great quality. I can't recommend Snowys highly enough - every order I've placed has been delivered quickly. Snowys is now my 'go to' shop :-)

I bought this bag for Qld conditions. Yes Qld! It gets cold on the tablelands in winter where I sleep out in a hammock. I use a thin thermal mat and the Spark SP3 keeps me well warm enough.

Great quality materials keep this bag small and light yet its thermal qualities are excellent. The construction utilises baffles to distribute the down evenly and I prefer the shape to fit well.

Snowy's service and price were excellent
