Security

At Snowys.com.au, we do everything we can to maintain the complete security and safety of the personal information you provide while using our site.

Credit Cards

All credit card transactions on Snowys.com.au are processed in real time, connecting directly with our bank via a Secure Payment Gateway; therefore no-one at Snowys can see the entire numbers.

Further, no credit card information is stored anywhere on our site, or on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

BPAY

Not comfortable with paying online? No problem. We also offer BPAY as a payment method, which allows you to pay directly for orders, using your bank's online or phone banking service. We provide you with our Biller Code and Reference Number and the rest is up to you.

Techno-security

We use the latest encryption (scrambling) technology to ensure the secure transmission of the information you provide cannot be read while travelling over the internet. Our online secure checkout is protected using 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. You can easily determine when you’re sending data securely by looking at the web address (URL) in your browser window: the first few letters will change from "http" to "https" when you are transmitting information by SSL encryption. The "s" in "https" stands for "secure".

VeriSign

VeriSign is a technology company that specialises in data encryption and e-commerce. It is one of the most recognised companies for certifying that a website is secure and encrypted. With VeriSign, you can feel confident shopping at Snowys.com.au.

McAfee SECURE®

McAfee SECURE® has been installed on Snowys.com.au to ensure the site is security tested and certified daily to protect against identity theft, credit card fraud, online scams, and other threats. McAfee Secure Daily uses a database (by the FBI, SANS and various other entities from across the world) which scans and updates every 15 minutes. Over 3 hours a day is spent scanning Snowys.com.au infrastructure looking for over 12,000 vulnerabilities that hackers could use to compromise sensitive data.

Safeguard your Passwords
By keeping your passwords secret and not sharing them with other people you are safeguarding yourself from a lot of fraudulent activity. Choose passwords that use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols and avoid choosing obvious words or dates such as a nickname or your birth date, as these are easier to crack. If you believe someone has learned your password you should change it immediately to avoid any possible risks.
