Good budget 3 season tent

Pretty lightweight, trekked 90km with it in Tassie. Poles and pegs are nice lightweight and durable aluminium. Lots of room for one inside including a pack. Far better than a Kmart tent and more comfortable than a bivvy. Only drawback is that this is a 3 season tent, wind can get up under the outer shell and make for a chilly night. If you're not hiking in snow or high winds this is a very comfortable tent.

Good budget tent

Been out with this a few times now and its worked well each time.
The only drawback for is the amount of pegs you use for a full setup. So you'll need a half decent spot to pitch the tent.
The double doors work great and plenty of room for the bag to sit out of the elements.

Companion Pro Hiker 1 Tent

Had mine now for 5 years and its been a great tent, a fraction low in height if you are sitting up inside , (I'm 5'11"), and one pole has just broke, i do use it a lot on our motorcycle trips, around 10 - 15 nights per year...thumbs up on this tent.

Is this tent comfortable for a guy at 6'5"?1 answer

Is the length inside this tent suitable for a person at 6'5"?

G'day Josh,

I've just had a look at the Companion Pro Hiker 1 Tent we've got set up on our shop floor. I reckon you'll have no issue sleeping in this tent. The only small concerns I did have were that if you had super broad shoulders, then it might reduce the length available to you for sleeping because the tent does taper off a little towards the head end. Also, you most likely won't be able to sit up in this tent too easily but if you're only using it for sleep then it won't be an issue.
