Will they grab a stove hotplate up 1 answer

Hi there , will this pick up like say a hot plate off one off the Coleman stoves that come with hot-plates ?

G'day Scott,

The Coleman grill/griddle plates are about 1.65 kg each. They are also flat with only a shallow lip. The trangia spondonicles are best for use on things with a large lip (ie a saucepan). So while they would be strong enough to lift something of this weight (dependent on your wrist strength), I can't guarantee that they would have a very secure grip on it, which might not be very safe when dealing with hot metal.

We've tested this out instore, the Trangia Pot handle is only compatible with the 10" Bedourie lid, but not the pot or the either parts of the 12" bedourie.

Would these be able to pick up a regular kitchen frying pan? I use a cheap kmart non stick pan and would like to remove the handle to save space.

Yes generally you'll be able to use these will any pot or pan they will just grip onto the edge so you might need to be careful you don't damage the non-stick coating on your pan.

Compatibility with mini Trangia1 answer

I know the mini trangia kit comes with a pot handle but just wondering if this is compatible with the pot and pan in the kit since it seems more sturdy than the one in the kit.

Great question! The Trangia Handle is compatible with this Mini Trangia and is more sturdy than the one that's included in this pack. We tested the included lightweight handle and it's certainly up for the job though.
