Going camping/hiking in hot tropical climates and I'm looking for a lightweight bag where I have the option to fully open it to be used as a blanket.

I think you're on to a winner with the Roman Palm Lite Sleeping Bag. The only other suggestion I could possibly make is the Roman Palm I Sleeping Bag, which is slightly bigger but has an extra 5 degrees of warmth. Given that warmth isn't a massive issue though, I think you'll be fine with this one.
