LED strip1 answer

Hi, can I leave my LED strip inside the swag when I roll it up, or do I need to take it out? Thanks

Steven - Oaklands Park, SA (7 months ago)

G'day Steven,

Yes — you can absolutely leave the integrated LED strip inside the Darche Nebula Star 1250 Swag when packing it up! The swag is specifically designed to be closed and stored with its internal components still in place, including the built-in LED lighting system.

Since the LED strip is flexible, it easily handles being rolled up within the canvas along with the swag. Just take a little care when packing it down — make sure the strip isn’t sharply bent or forced while rolling. Treat it gently and it’ll stay in great condition for plenty more adventures.

Confirm sizing1 answer

Hi, I have a tilda swag but looking to get something a bit bigger. I noticed width of this swag rolled up is 10 cm narrower than the tilda but it’s set up size is way bigger. Is this because it’s the measured size with the mattress still shrink wrapped? Is there a reason why it rolls up smaller than other similar swags? Thanks!

Amanda - Sydney, NSW (12 months ago)

G'day Amanda,

Good question. The two swags are hard to compare because they have different shaped sizing. The Nebula 1250 swag has an elongated octagon shape so the corners cut in as opposed to the Tilda swag which is rectangular. Internally, you'll probably notice the most difference in the height of the swag as the Tilda measures approx 80cm(H) and the Darche Nebula 1250 is approx 100cm(H).

Self inflating mat options 1 answer

Hello! Just wondering if you know of any self inflating mat options that would work with the odd shape of the Nebula. Would something like the darche supreme snoozer 1100 fit with a gap on the sides? Many thanks!!

Katherine - Narre Warren North, VIC (1 year ago)

G'day Katherine,

The 1100 mattress is probably as wide as you'll be able to go as the swag floor is octogon shaped, and the corners of the mat will fold in if you go any bigger.
Hope that helps!

Power entry1 answer

Hi, does the Nebula Star have a power cord entry on one side? Also is it designed to have a fly? thanks

Billy - Wistow, SA(1 year ago)

G'day Billy,

There's no dedicated power chord entry but you can use the doorways, and there's no fly that comes with it.
The ridge pole means you can use a generic swag awning.

Stretcher for Nebula Star 1250 Swag1 answer

What size and configuration stretcher would suit this perfectly. I have used the 1550 before on a XL 1400 stretcher and we really dont like the sag in the middle. Hoping that a 1250 would fit on a stretcher with less sagging, we have looked into oztent, oztrail and quest crossbow 1 stretcher to minimize overhang. Please advice cheers!

Nate - Melbourne, VIC (1 year ago)

G'day Nate,

Your best bet would be a Quest Crossbow 1 Swag Stretcher. There would be about 7cm of overhang either side. Ideally you need a bit of overhang to prevent dust, debris, and water from pooling in between the swag and stretcher. They have middle vertical supports to help with sagging. It's currently out of stock, so pop your email in the 'Notify Me' tab on the product page to be notified of when they're back in.
