I am considering this pack for a very long walk - 1200Kms. Are the shoulder straps suitably padded for 12 to 15 kilos?1 answer

HI Paul, the harness is good on this pack and it is built tough so will see you through your hike easily. It is designed more as an active pack for riding, climbing or shorter hikes. It will sit lower on your back than a top loading trekking rucksack. However, the most important thing is the fit and comfort on your back, I recommend trying the pack on if possible, you don't want to find out 100km into your 1200km walk that the pack feels uncomfortable.
