Lightweight, simple and affordable, Katadyn Micropur Forte water disinfection tablets are popular for hikers and travellers worldwide.

Safe amounts of chlorine eliminate bacteria and viruses in clear water whilst silver ions work to conserve the water for up to 6 months.

Used in combination with a filter for turbid water, Micropur Forte tablets take 10 minutes to dissolve, a further 20 minutes to kill viruses and bacteria, and 120 minutes to effectively eliminate amoebas and giardia.

Are these ok to take to PNG and use while walking in the Kokoda track 1 answer

Ie. ok to use on Kokoda track

G'day Darryl,

Yes, the Micropur Forte Tablets will do a good job of eliminating bacteria and viruses in your water on the Kokoda track. They are recommended for use in clear water though so if you're having to pull water from natural waterways it might be worth pairing it with a filter.

Hi, i note the dosage is 1 tab per 1L if water. Would it matter much if you dissolved 1 tab in a 700mL bottle of water, if thats the size youâ€™re using? Cheers

G'day Martin,

That won't be a worry at all. It'll just mean you go through your packet of Katadyn Micropur Forte Tablets quicker than if you were using one per litre.
