One of the most comfortable chairs on the market, the Oztent King Goanna Chair has been proven over and over again by providing hours of seating comfort in campsites throughout Australia.
Now equipped with front support struts, the King Goanna chair now comes with a massive 200 Kg weight rating. A fully padded seat combines with an adjustable lumbar support for the ultimate in tailored camp comfort, while two insulated drink holders and accessory pockets keep necessities at hand.
The carry bag creates extra padding when stored in the headrest while a heavy duty steel frame combined with machined steel feet and 600D fabric ensure your Oztent King Goanna Chair provides years of reliable use.
First time we took the chairs out they felt great and really comfortable. Problem is, the first time we used it, the screws holding the foot of the chair and the side poles together broke. Pretty disappointing even though it’s comfy.
I'm sorry to hear that - if you've got a second, would you be able to send us an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with a photo or two of the feet? Our warranty team will jump straight onto it. Laine
Not bad but they got self tapping screws on the bottom of the legs I only had it one day and one of the legs fell apart I had to use thread lock to fix it very comfortable chair but why do they put self tappers instead of rivets
Great back support for a camp chair. I am not tall with this chair I can just touch the ground which is good compared to all other comfortable chairs of this size.
Love the chair, super comfy, spacious. I kinda regret not paying more attention when I bought it that the drink holders are below the arm rest which I find annoying and the storage pockets next to the holders are way way way to small. Cant even fit my phone in it and I have a Samsung s7. Not a very big phone. Wished I had of pages more attention and got a chair with holders in the arm rest.
I love the comfort of this chair. The back support is fabulous. I also bought the side table which is excellent. The reason I give 4stars is the bag is a too snug for all the padding (awesome padding I might add). It’s fiddly to pack away.. otherwise... awesome.
The King Goanna chairs are very comfortable and very well built. They were delivered within a day or two. I’m a very happy customer.
Soooo comfortable and also purchased the table to attach. Like that they both come with bags for storage and protection when travelling too.
Downside...trying to keep others off it!!
I was buyinh one. Went to get it and noticed there is nowhere to keep a dribk or hold a wine glass without a table or just straight on the ground. Back to ground zero as comfy as it was.
As you're probably aware, you've got two insulated drink holders - but they're not designed for wine glasses. However, we stock Universal Glass Holders from Coleman which can attach to any chair.
I hope this helps, Laine
Great chair. A bit heavy, but worth it as they’re built to last. I have a couple of them. Added oztent side tables no problem at all. Couple of sidekicks for the feet. Perfect. Snowys shipping excellent.
The hotspot is not compatible with this chair. Is that correct?
That's correct, yes. The Oztent King Goanna Chair doesn't have the pouch for the Hotspot to slide into but the specific Hotspot chair does.
The Jet tent Pilot chair has replacement parts for the frame, is this the same for this chair? Thank you.
The Oztent King Goanna Chair has a frame that's virtually all one piece thanks to the rivets holding the different parts together. Whilst this is great for strength, it does make it hard to replace individual sections of the frame. The Oztent King Goanna Chair does come with a 5-year warranty, however, if that soothes some of your fears. So if you ever think there's an issue with the chair, simply flick us through some photos to email@example.com and we can take it up with Oztent on your behalf.
Hi team, Does the included storage bag the same type pictured for the "Oztent Goanna Chair" ? Cheers, Ray
The bag for the Oztent King Goanna chair is the same as the bag shown for the Oztent Goanna Chair. The only difference is that it's a little bigger to incorporate the bigger sized chair.
are these chairs rated to 150 or 200 kgs
I've just had a chat with Oztent and they have told me that the older King Goanna model had a weight rating of 150kg, whereas the new model (which is what we stock) has a rating of 200kg, which is why our specs differ from theirs online. I hope that clears everything up, sorry about the confusion there Matt.
Hi, can the drink holders easily fit a can with a stubby holder on it?
I've just tried this for myself in store, and while we didn't have a stubby holder on hand I found that the Oztent King Goanna Chair will fit a can with room to spare - so you won't have any trouble fitting a can + stubby holder.
Hi, Could you please let me know if the head rest has padding without putting the carry bag in it? Thanks Darlene , Vic
Hi Darlene, the King Goanna chair does indeed have padding without the carry bag - there’s a layer of foam approx. 1cm thick sewn into the back of the headrest.
Hi. Could you please measure the exact size when packed it its bag? Thanks
Hi, Is the 105cm height to the top of the headrest, or is it to the top of the metal frame either side of the back of the chair? I have limited packing space. If it is to the top of the headrest, would you please measure to the top of the frame for me when the chair is folded down? Thanks.
