Yep, 137cm is correct - the frame collapses differently to the 10P, so there is a slighty longer pack size with the smaller tent.

Keeping the unenthused partner happy is always a good priority!
No fault in your logic - the 6P will give you enough width to have a double/queen and a king single side by side, with just over 1m of floor space at the foot for bags or other storage.  Always a good idea to have a bit more space in the tent incase the weather goes foul.

That also comes with a free heat shield awning extension at the moment, which is actually discontinued & only available while stocks last.
Its a great deal to get the tent and the extension so get onto it sooner rather than later I reckon.

The fly design is the only difference - the Evo doesn't have the optional side awning, but it is compatible with the separately available Evo Shade Awning which extends the front shaded living space, and connects to a 3x3 gazebo.

The 6P Gold Evo tent has some velcro along the edge of the awning, so you can attach it to your gazebo if it has corresponding velcro.  If it doesn't, it wouldn't be too hard to do a DIY fix and install some.  You'd be able to pick up velcro strips from somewhere like Spotlight.

This current model now has only 1 door at the front and a window at the rear of the tent.

The 6P Northstar has the darkroom coating on the fly and the front vestibule to help minimise light getting in.  Because it is so dark inside the tent, there is the inbuilt lighting.
The 6P Evo is the improved version of the standard 6P Gold, having an attachment option for you to use with the Evo Shade Awning.  This optional shade awning is not compatible with any other Coleman tent, other that the Evo series.

If you are after the lighted option, search for the Instant Up Lighted Northstar series.

The Silver is the base model and is a lighter, more fair wether/entry level tent option, having 1/2 the waterhead rating as the Gold.  As you would assume, the Gold is a step up on this, has a higher water head rating, has a heavy duty PVC floor, and is more suited to year round use.

Tents do not come with a wind resistance rating, as there are quite a lot of variables to inclement weather situations!
It's impossible to give any indication or guarantee of a limit here, but we have a podcast covering all the tips and tricks of setting up your tent in wind & rain, you might find that helpful.

The Instant Up Gold Evo Tents are the new version of the Instant Up Gold Tents. They've made a few minor changes, and now include a zipper above the front door to attach the EVO Shade Awnings for extra undercover space. The size, shape, pole design and materials remain the same.

As far as we're aware Coleman has made a few changes to the floor material, and now use Polyoxford. The Cabin Gold 8P has discontinued around 4-5 years ago so unfortunately, we don't have the exact specifics on file to double-check this for you.

Yes, the fly has a waterhead rating of 3000mm which is classed as waterproof.

Coleman has removed the side awning option and placed a zip at the front to allow attachment of a new awning/shade accessory, and the 6P version still features both front and rear doors as per the previous models.
