Will you be getting the Swagger Ultimate 3P?
G'day Sue,
Unfortunately, that's an Anaconda exclusive model, which means Coleman have made it just for their company.
We're not able to range those.
How much clearence would you have if you put a swagger stretcher inside the swagger 3p?
G'day Alex,
Depending on the height of the Stretcher, you'll have about 80cm clearance to the peak of the tent.
If you're using a self inflating mat, you'll have slightly less.
Hi, do you have a stretcher that will match this 3p swagger as per the 1p Coleman swagger?
G'day Sarah,
Well that would be one mighty stretcher! Sadly we are still about 100mm too narrow on our stretchers to match the 3P Swagger.
Does darkroom technology stop shadows being thrown on the walls at night that are visible from the outside?
G'day Marian,
The darkroom tent has a light suppression coating which works both ways, so you won't have any issues with shadow cast on your tent walls.
Hope that helps.
Hi. Is there a matching footprint available like the one shown in the photos with the person sitting in the tent?
There is no matching footprint available, Holly, the images are from Coleman and they may have made some production samples before deciding not to run with the footprint. The best alternative are these Ultramesh tarps from OZtrail - https://www.snowys.com.au/ultramesh-tarp.
Does this come in a 2p, if not, when will it available?
G'day Robert,
No, there isn't a Darkroom version of the Swagger 2P. At this point in time Coleman haven't indicated any plans to release a 2P version of this model.
Hi Snowys, do you think I could fit 3 x king single Zempire Monstamats in the 3P Swagger?
G'day Louise,
We've not been able to physically try this one out, however based on the internal dimensions, and the mat combinations we've tried before, we think it will just fit. It will be a very tight squeeze, and there won't be any room for anything else, but you'll each get an individual mat to sleep on.
Is the swagger compatible for use with a stretcher bed? What's the headroom like with a stretcher inside? How fine in the mesh panels? Well this version keep sandflies/midges out?
G'day,
Whilst we've never had any issues using our swagger tents when midges were about in SA, these tents don't use no-see-um mesh, or come with a midge guarantee.
In terms of a stretcher bed, depends how you want to orient it. You won't be able to use a standard size one running front to back along the sidewall due to the sloping walls and overall tent size. You'd be able to get away with an Oztrail Low Rise Stretcher, however, but only without a mattress or a very thin one of 5cm or less.
Hopefully Coleman have addressed the design issues with the fly touching the inner tent? to help reduce condensation and pooling inside the tent. Fantastic it comes in a darkroom design but not worth purchasing if its the same design as the 3P.
G'day Helen,
Yes, it is the same design, with an upgraded darkroom fly.
I have two Swagger 3P tents, have had them for over a year & camped in all kinds of weather including sub zero frosty days and torrential rain - I've never had any issues with condensation, pooling, or leaking.
I am aware that some people have had these issues, but its certainly not something that is consistent & seems to be down to individual circumstances and how people are setting up their tents.
