Good functional stove

Had a problem with our initial model but Snowy's sorted out a replacement and now it's working very well. High points to the stove and to Snowy's customer service.

Excellent unit

After comparing with other brands, I found that Primus is still good value for money and has the best warranty.

Good, but ...

Puts out a lot of heat, easy to burn the snags. Difficult to turn down low, the flame is just about invisible in daylight. The main thing is, I believe it's much safer than the "lunchbox" cookers which is why I bought it.

works well

We have used the 2 burner now a few times . It feels flimsy but works very well . Heats up quickly but doesn't use a lot of gas .easy to clean and store in a caravan . The burners stain badly but still work well . At this early stage of use i am happy with it .

G'day Greg,

Sorry for the confusion, but no the Primus High Output Regulated 2 Burner Stove cannot be connected to a caravan as it is a high pressure stove.

Can this stove be connected to a bayonet fitting with an appropriate thread adaptor1 answer

I need a stove to connect to a bayonet fitting on the outside of a caravan.

- Doonan(9 months ago)

G'day David,

After further research we have found that this stove cannot be connected to a caravan as it is a high-pressure stove. I apologise for the wrong information, I hope this has not inconvenienced anyone.

We have a Companion braided gas hose which can convert gas stoves with a 3/8" SAE fitting to a bayonet fitting of a caravan. If you search for 41637 on our website you can view and order it from there. Alternatively we can also recommend Maxbilt here in Adelaide for excellent advice and other possible solutions. Their number is (08) 8363 1955.

Adapter - Special or Normal Swap n Go1 answer

I have a normal swap n Go Cylinder - Is this unit equipped to connect direct or do I have to by an adapter to use...Thanks

- Castle Hill(11 months ago)

G'day David,

The Primus High Output Regulated 2 Burner Stove is designed to correct directly to a 3/8" BSP fitting, but you can connect it with a 9kg POL fitted bottle using an adaptor - the Primus Gas Cylinder Adapter POL-3/8" should do the trick nicely.

Is it safe to add a POL CYLINDER ADAPTOR so i can use on my 4kg gas bottle? 1 answer

HELP I WANT TO BUY ONE BUT THIS IS HOLDING ME BACK?! I borrowed a friends Primus high output 3 burner. It came with an orange hose with no regulator on the hose. Just orange hose. My friend had added a pol adapter at the end and when i connected the cooker to my 4kg pol gas bottle, it spewed gas and flames through the stove part under the pot. I had to turn off because it was so dangerous. Is it because these cookers are only meant for 3/8 gas bottles only? Faulty item? No regulator on hose?

There is no problem with using adaptors to go from 3/8 BSP to POL and vice versa Anthony, the pressure of gas coming out of these bottles is the same regardless of the fitting. Your problem most likely lies with the hose which should have a regulator on it if your mates stove is as per the above item. Give us a call if you need a new hose, alternatively the stove comes complete with the required hose and regulator, and you would just need to add an adaptor (item code 20610) to attach it to a POL cylinder.
