Can it be used for chemical as well?1 answer

Hi can this be used as the chemical cassette as well so i don't have to buy both cassettes?

G'day Ali,

You could probably give it a go, but it doesnt seal very well because its designed for solids.
Chemical cassettes have the toilet checmical in it which turns the waste to liquid.
The Eco cassette also doesn't have the empty spout to tip your chemical toilet waste out of, so you'll have to remove the whole lid and tip it out like a bucket.
Probably not for the feint of heart!

Latch for the sliding seal1 answer

I notice that the chemical cassette had a latch to kick the sliding "door"/seal closed, so that the top doesn't accidentally open. Does the eco cassette have a similar latch?

G'day Sue,

It doesn't. The chemical cassette will liquify waste, which means the contents will be runny and leak.
The eco cassette doesn't, and the contents remain solid (don't forget wee goes in a separate cassette).
Its highly unlikely the seal will come loose on its own, however the liquid nature of the chemical cassette calls for the extra precaution.
