Organise and carry your gear comfortably on your daily commute with the Giga SL from Deuter. This model has a shorter back length, as well as slimmer shoulder straps with rounded soft edges that provide a great fit around the shoulders without any pinching.
In terms of storage, there’s a compartment to keep your documents, a padded space for your laptop, stretch side pockets for storage, an internal pocket for your valuables, and an organiser for smaller items as well. This pack features Deuter’s Airstripes back system which will keep you cool and dry as it has two mesh lined pads for comfort, which allow air to flow through the middle. It also has shoulder straps that shaped to your body for comfort and a detachable hip belt for distributing your load.

warerproof?1 answer
Hi there. How waterproof is this bag? I'm looking it using it to ride to and from work, but will need something waterproof for wet rainy days. Thanks!

G'day Lauren,
The Giga SL 28L Daypack isn't waterproof, so anything heavier than a light shower might mean your belongings end up wet. We'd suggest pairing it with a raincover to keep your gear nice and dry.

Hi, I'm looking at a pack for my girlfriend to use for uni and I'd like some feedback on the SL vs standard fit. I'm looking at ordering this pack online from you guys, obviously I'd rather be able to assess the pack in person (fitted hiking packs at one of the big over priced name brand stores for 5 years in the past) but this isn't possible. She's about 165cm and 65kgs, haven't measured back length but let's say an arbitrary average. She'll be carrying a reasonable amount of weight for the day. What do you guys think? I know it's kind of anyone's guess this way but to go SL or standard?

G'day Dave,
Good timing mate, we 've got two guys from Deuter in the shop today! We all agree that it sounds like the SL would fit best, but as I'm sure you know fit can be pretty personal so make sure she tries it on at home before she takes it outside and gets it dirty. If it's not suitable you're welcome to return it.

You guys are awesome, thank you.
Another question, any chance of stocking the larger Gigant SL any time soon?

G'day Dave,
No worries at all mate. I don't think we're going to be stocking the Gigant SL but they are on the Aussie Deuter pricelist so we could try to track one down for you. If you're keen to get your hands on one, send us an email to service@snowys.com.au and one of us will chase up pricing and availability for you. Just a heads up, unlike the Giga SL, if we ordered one of these in especially for you we don't offer refunds or exchanges on special orders so worth having a think about it.

Quick follow up to this. Ended up ordering the Gigant SL, once again Snowys were great. Good price, fast delivery and minimum fuss. By all reports the bag is working great so far. Thanks Snowys.
