If a double-sized sleeping bag filled with R.D.S certified 750+ loft ultra-dry down doesn't get a non-camper into the outdoors for a night under the stars, then there's probably no hope. This luxurious bag has room for two and features multiple zips for the ultimate in couples sleeping versatility.
Rectangular, with an ultra-wide circumference – this bag provides plenty of wiggle room so you won’t feel restricted as you snooze. With a comfort rating of -8° this bag is better suited for those who feel the cold or for chillier conditions because when it does get chilly you can zip it up and pull in the drawcords for a cosy night of sleep. In the warmer months, the multiple zips allow you to stick your limbs out or use it as a quilt.
To prevent cold spots, there are vertical baffles over the chest, while the side block baffles keep the down at the top for ultimate insulation and warmth. You can also stash your phone or other valuables in the large internal security pocket, and connect this bag to a sleeping mat thanks to the adjustable webbing loop system.
Whether you’re kipping in your van, heading to your favourite camping spot, or staying in huts – the Explore ExIII Sleeping Bag from Sea to Summit will keep you warm and comfortable.

Dimensions and use as 2 doonas?1 answer
Hi, how wide is this and can it be used as two separate doonas? Thanks!
Jez - Sydney(3 years ago)
G'day Jez,
You can find the external dimensions and internal girths listed under the specifications section on the product page. The top and bottom can be completely separated from each other, so you could use them as two separate double doonas if you wanted to.
Can it be unzipped and used as a single bag ? When Im on my own please ?
howard - PORT MACQUARIE(4 years ago)
G'day Howard,
The top half of the bag can be detached from the bottom half of the bag and used as a quilt, however not as a standalone sleeping bag. If you're wanting an option for a single and double we'd recommend grabbing two singles, then you'll have the option to zip them together anytime you'd like.

G'day Charlyn,
Yes, the Explore Ex3 Double comes with a storage bag. The last image on our product page shows what the stuff sack looks like. The bags are shipped in the Black storage cubes as per the video link you sent through.

Size when compacted?1 answer
HI,..we want to separate the top and bottom of this bag for our back packs to share the load. Can you advise how big each part might be when compressed and which comp sacks to use to achieve this? thanks
katy - deua river valley(4 years ago)
I don't have this information for you sorry, Katy, I'd need to go and pull a lot of product out of its packaging to test this for you. I can make some pretty good assumptions though. Given the fill rate is 60% on the top and 40% on the bottom, we can roughly split the total weight in this manner also, so the split would be roughly 1Kg for the top and 0.7Kg for the bottom section.
How big it is compressed depends on how much muscle you want to put into stuffing it. The stuff sack that comes with the bag is about 50cm long and 23cm wide when uncompressed, which works out to be approximately 20L of volume. So two of the small Sea To Summit Compression sacks (10L uncompressed volume) should do the job.
