Width options and Size Conversion Differences1 answer
Online reviews suggest these boots come in two width options but I only see one for this shoe. Also, if I’m a 7K 9US 40EU in Timberlands and a 7UK 9US 41EU in Dr Martens (yes, they are both different sizing conversions to each other and to Vasque), should I go a 9US or 9.5US in these Vasque boots? Vasque has 2.5 difference between UK and US in their conversion. I have an old pair of Salomons somewhere, if that’s going to be closer, that I think are a 9.5US from memory.

G'day Alexandra,
We only stock the standard width in these boots. As a guide, the innersole for the US9 measures 26cm long and 9.5cm wide across the ball. Unfortunately its impossible to advise you which size to go for, as everyones foot is different, and fit/feel can vary person to person, even if they are same size! The best bet would be to find a local retailer so you can actually try them on before purchasing. Alternatively, you are welcome to return them if the sized ordered isnt quite right, head to our Returns page for more info.

Cushioning1 answer
How cushioned are these shoes? I get sore heels and have found it hard to get hiking shoes with enough cushioning. Ideally cushioning in the midsole, not just from an insert.

G'day Annette,
I've just had a try of the Eriksson GTX Wmn's Boot and I would say they have a medium amount of cushioning through the whole foot. They will become more comfortable once they are worn in.

I’m not sure what US size I am.1 answer
I’m not sure what US size I take. I think my old Hi Tecs are women’s size 10.

G'day Annette,
You will likely be a similar size to your hi-tec boots. Generally, sandshoes are sized in US sizes, so if you have a pair and can check in the tongue then I would order the Eriksson GTX based on that.
