When you can set up your camp bed in under 10 seconds then you know you’re onto a real winner. The Easy Fold Queen Stretcher from Oztrail is a durable and cleverly designed camp stretcher that’ll get you and your partner ready for sleep in no time at all.
Tall campers can rejoice as this stretcher doesn’t have head or foot cross bars, so you won’t have a metal pole digging into while you sleep. This stretcher is also a good option if your back needs a firm surface, as it’s fully flat with a soft touch fabric top. The durable powder coated frame will keep you sleeping solidly all night and can easily be wiped if it gets a little grubby with use.
The coolest thing about this stretcher is that once you’re all warm and comfy in your sleeping bag – you can stay that way as it comes with a detachable mesh gear loft to stash your tablet, book or even a midnight snack just under your bed. The side organiser pocket has two mesh pockets and one long pocket, so you can keep your phone, GPS and other important gear at arm’s length.
Very happy overall. Used a queen size self inflating mattress. The middle bar issue was sorted by using two 1800mm x 900mm x 16mm mdf sheets, one either side which brought the mdf level with the bar. Perfect sleep!
Great company to deal with. The product itself was too saggy for my liking. I even tried putting our queen self-inflating mattress on top and was still too saggy. Now trying to sell it. Pole down the middle was annoying also. Not what I was expecting, thought the stretcher would
Just had our first camping experience with a stretcher. We will never go back to an air mattress! We topped with 2 single Black Wolf Mega Delux self inflating mats joined together - perfect fit. It was so great to not feel 'sea sick' when my partner moved. I'm also pleased to not have to suffer from feeling potential rocks or twigs under my sleeping surface.
Tired of expensive air mattresses that go down. We invested in this stretcher. Easy to set up and pack down. We are using a self inflating mattress on top. Could of probably done with 2 singles on top instead of a queen, But the bar down middle creates almost a hammock experience. Nice and high off the floor. Quite heavy and large in terms of space. Not good if you are tight on car space. Super happy overall with product and would thoroughly recommend.
This the so comfortable to lie on and they are right it's so easy to put up, thanks for the speedie service.
Australia day weekend 3 nights off the ground even with the bar down the middle great nights sleep perfect ! We had a double swag on top of it fantastic !
This stretcher is super easy to set up and pack away. Makes sleeping on it wonderful especially when pairing it with a camp mat.
We bought the Easy Fold Queen stretcher & the self inflating mat - we've given up on regular air beds that go down in the night. We had a much better camping trip this time. Quick delivery too.
Easy to set up and pack away

Will this double fit in an RV5?
Becuase of the angled wall of the RV5, it's really hard to fit any stretchers in it without touching the walls. The Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher goes right up to the wall. If you had any wind or rain, then I'd be a bit concerned about it then touching so would probably recommend against using it in the RV5.
I'd recommend going for a self-inflating mattress for the RV5. That way, you're not contending with the height of a stretcher with the angled wall.
Depending on your budget, there are a few different options you can go for. I personally own a Zempire Megamat and would always recommend them!
Hi Just wondering how well this would fit in one of the side rooms of the Coleman North Star instant up 10p tent? Also, do you have a recommendation for good sleeping mats for this? I’ve read that a double/queen air bed might be problematic due to the middle bar! Thanks.
You should be able to fit your Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher in the sleeping area of a Coleman Instant Northstar Dark Room 10P Tent. Although, it's worth noting that it would take up just about all the available space. As for the sleeping mats, I'd suggest a foam mat over an air mattress, because of the middle pole. You could look at either an Oztrail Leisure Mat, Zempire Megamat, Exped Megamat, Black Wolf Mega Deluxe, or Zempire Bomberpad.
Just wondering if anyone has put a swag that is 2200 x 1550 on top of this stretcher and thoughts please.. Thank you
Hopefully, you'll get some others offering their thoughts.
I'll just add that unfortunately, double/queen swags (or mats) aren't overly comfortable to sleep on with a queen stretcher due to the support bar going down the middle. This bar is critical for the structure of the stretcher, but it also raises the swag and puts those on either side at an annoying angle when trying to sleep. We recommend that people use two single swags/mats placed either side of the bar.
So do you think if i actually cut the double foam mattress in half this may work????
Oooo... I'm honestly not sure. It would help, but the swag itself may still cause issues. I've never heard of anyone taking this approach...
Hi, if I was to join two single mats together using the Exped Universal Mat Coupling Kit, would this eliminate the problem of the central bar lifting the mat up?
Using two Exped Megamat 10LXW's is a very popular option on the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher. The coupling kit will ensure you stay close together, while the gap in the mattress will provide the space and give to ensure the mattresses lay flat.
As Emily mentioned, there is about 10cm of overhang in the width, but this isn't unmanageable and doesn't rule out using 2x Exped Megamat 10 LXWs with the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher. However, if you're seeking a perfect fit, I would recommend a narrower sleeping mat.
Hi there, would the Diamantina double mattress work well with this stretcher? It's about 8cm thick. thanks
We don't stock the Diamantine Double Mattress, but from my research, it appears it should fit the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher without any trouble. However, the challenge is that unfortunately, no queen mat works well with a queen stretcher due to the support bar going down the middle which is critical for the structure of the stretcher. This results in the mattress becoming raised through the middle of the stretcher which can be a point of discomfort for some.
Was just wondering which queen sleeping mat works best with the Oztrail easy fold stretcher?
Unfortunately, no queen mat works well with a queen stretcher due to the support bar going down the middle which is critical for the structure of the stretcher. What we would recommend is purchasing 2 single sleeping mats to lay either side of the middle bar. Any single mat under 70cm wide and 200cm long should do the trick.
Hi i was wondering thoughts on using eurobed airmatress on this strecher? I understand this is a similar qn to a previous one but we have invested in a eurobed a couple of years ago and its great just thinking on a frame moght be better? Do you guys think it would work okay or are the strechers best used with inflating mats? Thank you for any help
Unfortunately, the challenge with using a queen mat on a queen stretcher is dealing with the support beam of the stretcher that runs through the middle. This beam raises the mattress and makes it difficult to get comfortable. We'd recommend that the best option with queen stretchers is to use 2x single size mats so that the middle bar is unable to affect the 'sit' of the mattress.
Hi, just wondering if anyone knows whether 2 of the exped singles would fit on this stretcher coupled together with the additional coupling kit from exped thought maybe this would be more comfortable than trying to put a double/queen mattress on the top as singles will allow for the bar down the middle but would these singles work or be to big or small together? Thanks :)
There is going to be 10cm of overhang if you use two of the Megamat singles together (as they’re 77cm wide each) on top of this mat, so it’s not going to be a perfect fit so you might want to look into a smaller mat.
As for comfort – using two single mats (instead of a double) is great way to get around the fact that the stretcher has a bar down the middle.
a) Does the stretcher come with a reasonably weatherproof packing bag? (We're going to have to strap it onto our roof bars... b) Suitable for use with a queen size air bed?
The bag this stretcher comes in isn't waterproof, it will have some weather resistance but there will be weak points at the stitching and where the zipper is.
The Easy Fold Queen Stretcher has a bar down the middle, so if you put a queen air bed on top it will be elevated in the middle, so you would be sleeping on a slight angle. It can be done, but some people find they don't like that.
Hi, does a queen size self inflating mat fit on the stretcher? Thanks
I have just tried this myself with the display models in the shop, and the Oztrail Queen Mat fits onto the Easy Fold Queen Stretcher - so they're perfectly matched!
